There's a streetlight almost right outside the house. Even with thick curtains, light creeps in at night. And then, on a summer morning, the sun rises on that side of the house, treating us to our very own light display. At 5 am. So as you can imagine, I was delighted when I saw this product, and even more so when I discovered it actually worked. It comes with velcro fasteners but I don't use them. It's so efficient that I simply drape it over the curtain rail - when the curtains are closed - to give an extra layer. As you can see from the picture this technique means it is not quite long enough to reach the bottom of the window, but that doesn't matter. It is so efficient that it blocks out enough light to ensure a good kip! This product comes with its own handy little bag, making it portable if you are going to rent a cottage by the sea, but don't fancy waking at dawn. The material has a quality feel to it, and I can honestly say that I am delighted with this purchase.

The adhesive that fits onto the cloth is not great. Best to stick it on with super glue because when the velcro attaches on, the adhesive will come off when you try and open the blind. slight annoyance but the blind itself works well. Makes the room totally dark which is perfect for a good night's sleep.

Easy to install, works well, and blacks the room out completely if you fit it right.When I first put it up it seemed to hold well with only two stickers at the top but after a few weeks the weight pulled it down. that was my fault as I didn't use all the stickers. So I did it properly and it's great now.I guess if you are going to be using it on different windows it might not be the best idea to cut it to fit but it's nice and neat in my room and I'm not moving any time soon.I work nights and sleep has been tough since I moved flat as the curtains here are not the greatest at keeping the light out. Since getting this I have slept like a baby. What a difference the dark makes to your dream state.At 30 quid it's a bargain!Great product, delivered pretty quick, comes in a nice wee bag with extra stickers.I highly recommend it.

Thought this was going to be a great success at the start..but then everything time I took it down the velcro would peel.of the blind part and took the black off it. Would not stay on front door at all, got very annoying replacing it. Unfortunately had ordered another 2 of them in the meantime, thinking I would give it another try but same thing. Not enough velcro with product. A longer strip would be better.Would not buy again!!!

These do the job really well although the velcro likes to try and come off each time I take it down. It has ripped the blind on one corner which is not ideal given the price.The seller had provided more velcro but it still seems to want to not stick 100%.Other than that they are very blackout and the idea is good.Maybe a few little tweaks needed.

Fantastic item. Good quality and very easy to set-up. We needed a blackout blind for the kids room to get a few extra hours sleep instead of being up at the crack of dawn in August. The other portable blackout blind products with suckers were not lasting the night (I’d find that they’d slipped during the night and were letting light in).This item is perfect! You get white Velcro fasteners you can place on the frame and blackout material depending on your size of window. I cut the material to size using the instructions and popped it up. I used some excess material to make ‘ribbons’ to secure the blackout material in place (just threaded the ribbons between the Velcro on the frame) so I can keep rolled up just under the curtain pole. Then takes seconds to ‘let the curtain down’ at night to use. Rolls up again in the morning. Saves damaging the Velcro and much easier for us to use daily. Brilliant item, highly recommend and perfect for my kids as most importantly stays in place all night.

Great blackout given even though its very light material. I would check how many velcro pieces you have before installing, there were 12 smaller pieces which I stuck to the wall, then I opened the packet of larger pieces to find only eight, which was very disappointing. Also one of the larger velcro stickers is already peeling off, but a bit if glue should sort that hopefully. I was hoping to find a way of sticking it permanently, and maybe rolling it up during the day, but not figured that out yet. I would buy again for my sons room, but they don't have a larger size.
