This is such a brilliant craft set which I love.Was better than I expected.I brought this for my unicorn mad 5yr old who spent the whole morning doing this, she enjoyed doing it (with little to no help needed).This is a great way to entertain the kids.Would make a great gift (will definitely be purchasing more for upcoming birthday parties).I have a number of items from Melissa & Doug and they are known for there excellent quality.Comes with everything you need to decorate your unicorn.It is now proudly displayed in my daughters bedroom.Great value for money.Very cute and great fun to do.Would highly recommend.

On the whole my 6-year old loved this, though she is a bit of a perfectionist and did get a little frustrated at times.In this decoupage kit you get a white papier mache unicorn, 4 sheets of circular stickers in various designs and sizes, a small pot of decoupage glue, a "brush" to apply the glue and a pair of eyes to stick onto the unicorn when it's finished.Things to be aware of:- 1) don't forget your eye stickers are stuck to the inside of the box; 2) the instructions say that it's best to apply all of the stickers and then immediately coat with glue for best results, so this might be an activity to save for a rainy afternoon when you'll have the time; 3) think about where you're going to put the stickers and how your design is going to work as you don't want to run short of stickers at the end. (Be prepared to subtly smooth stickers down flat and adjust their positions as/if necessary.) I think the more time you are able to take, the better your results will be but the main point is that it's great fun.Niggles - the instructions refer to a money-box - which this unicorn isn't. It's possibly a cost-saving measure (re-using generic instructions) or maybe this model started out as a money-box but it would be nice if this were mentioned at the top of the instructions - "These instructions may refer to more than one model." So, be aware there is no nose sticker and no rubber plug.Overall - I think it's excellent value for money (current price is 7.99) and would make a lovely birthday gift for any child who loves crafting.

My 6 year old was able to do this with minimal help and excellent results. It also entertained for quite a while as this was not a super quick craft kit to complete. I would highly recommend for children of around 6 to do independently, younger children would be able to do this to with more assistance.

An enthusiastically received present, not yet seen the results but it was certainly a great gift choice as unicorns are always loved by the littlest minds (Ryan Reynolds too!) will be very pleased to see the end result soon I hope.

Really simple to use - we had a 5 year old using this kit. I was particularly impressed that there were more than enough stickers to very generously cover the unicorn. We had lots left over, even after covering the base. And, amazingly, at the end, you have a child-crafted object which actually looks good!

I’m really disappointed about the stickers, they’re too thick. When I put a sticker on the horse’ leg for example, I am not able to smooth it down without having to have a crease in it or I have to cut it to be able to wrap it around the leg. I also think the stickers should have been made as strips not circles, this would mean less creases when wrapping the stickers around the ears and horn etc. The stickers have a kind of glossy coating, I think the paper should have been more absorbing so that the glue would soak into the paper and take on the glitter better. I do also believe if the stickers were just paper with no adhesive on it the the glue can be used to stick the designs to the horse and that would relax the paper giving it a better finish with no creases. What I do like about the kit is it makes it so convenient to start a project and doesn’t need any preparation or heavy cleaning afterwards

My granddaughter lived this until she tried to stick the stickers on. They were too thick to bend round curves and stay stuck on. Sad.
