Very nice and very bright picture.

Purchased as a slave screen for a piece of communications gear, chose this model for size, cost, and because it had both VGA and HDMI inputs. The instruction Guide, written in minuscule text and dozens of languages was nearly useless. It did not match the presentations on the screen. Fortunately, the unit "Auto-Starts" and appears to take care of everything. Upon turn-on, unit worked 100%. Nice color. Nice resolution. Would recommend for someone needing a smaller unit without any bells or whistles.

ViewSonic has long been a producer of quality monitors. Not any more. You don't want to read and I don't want to type, so I'll give you the bullets.1. You can turn off the bright blue power light, but when the computer goes to sleep the light comes on bright red. Hope you didn't want it dark to sleep or something. Or just want to stop vampire current.2. The brightness shipped at 100% and contrast at 70%. If that's the setting your monitor looks good at, you have a crap monitor. Fortunately these settings were terrible and putting them at 50/50 made a much better baseline. I can only assume they were worried about people looking to get a tan.3. It's VGA only. VGA is still around, and pretty easy to get on a desktop PC or Linux box, but on laptops and Macs.... You're looking at layers of adapters and those don't always play nicely.Honestly, the only value here is that sometimes you need a narrower monitor. If you don't there are many quality monitors that will serve you better for about the same price. If you want to pay a little bit more, you may be able to get a nice widescreen that rotates to portrait. (Both cool and useful, but kind of stupid on larger screens.)

Having used this for a short time, it is a compact 19 inch brand name 1366 x 768 that was bought for about $70 with free delivery. This isn't a decent gaming or even primary monitor, don't expect that with the specs above. It is best used with a kiosk level pc or secondary monitor for limited space (it includes the vesa mount option), and for that it is very useful for those purposes. It only has two input connections, hdmi and vga. The power supply is the standard pc type cord that is internal to the monitor, not the external type. You will be ok with this monitor if you understand these limits.

I needed a monitor separate from my home laptop to use after being assigned to work from home. I purchased this monitor for its size, but especially for the price. It works very well, and the quality is clear and is definitely worth the price.

I like the fact that the screen was a small one and not the big 24 inches that they have lots of. I needed it for my desktop and the size was just perfect. I really did not want to have to purchase anything bigger. So this works out just fine for me. The color and brightness works well and it is very easy on the eyes. I think that the price could have been less though. No need to charge so much for a monitor.

I used this monitor because of its unique dimensions and excellent image quality for displaying flight instruments in a flight simulator and it works just great. The old monitor lasted for 16 years of constant use and I replaced it with the exact same model. It fits perfectly with the original mounting setup in the instrument panel.
