Not electrically rated
There are 2 screws that hold the light holder on that come from the inside of the hat. Not electrically rated for msha or Osha.

QUALITY MSA V-GARD
the MSA V-GARD hard hat is the best hard hats I have ever used and is the hard hat I use. I need a head lamp from time to time and the head-band type are not that great for hard hat use (my opinion) I saw that you can buy the light bracket that is on this hard hat, soon after I saw "this hard hat" that had the bracket factory installed. I thought that this would be a good way to go, "factory installed" means it would be mounted in the correct location, at the correct angle etc. knowing that this hard hat is 17doll and the bracket is 20dol, I was willing to over-pay for the "factory perfection" THE BRACKET IS OFF CENTER AND NOT MOUNTED HORIZONTALLY LEVEL WITH THE HAT???? I am assuming that the factory JIG is not working??? not that happy with what I got, and the hard hat came without the ratchet type head-gear (again, 17doll hard hat)

Yes it is very nice hard hat. Would surely recommend this to any one. I bought it for one think in mind and getting ready for the big one earthquake. You never know when you really need. I keep it in the car close at hand. Will order a few more for family. Just to get ready for any disaster.
