Inorganic Chemistry by Miessler, Gary L., Fischer, Paul J., Tarr, Donald A. (2013) Paperback Pearson New Internat Edition

I had attempted to purchase this book from another seller in India, but after waiting a month and a half with many issues trying to track down my order (issues with the 3rd party Indian company- not Amazon, of course), I canceled my order and purchased it from the good ol' US of A. By this time, my first exam was rapidly approaching, and I had given up hope of receiving it in time to study. However, it came two days earlier than expected, and I was able to study.The lack of color can be slightly confusing in certain pictures, but if you actually read the text and captions this is not an issue. It is well organized and goes farther in depth than my lecture class into the mathematical side of things, which makes it a great reference when concepts don't quite click.

Anyone who has ever taken a chem class knows that the text books can be terrible. This one is much easier to read and understand than many others I have come across without lacking in information.

I've used the previous editions of this text and this one stacks up to it's reputation. There are more relevant stuff in it than in the previous editions. It's written in a way that it doesn't seem to advanced for beginners to inorganic chemistry but not too dumbed-down for those already familiar and comfortable with the field.

if your teacher assigns this, consider finding another class. This textbook is great for graduate students- lots of advanced research and information for inorganic chemistry, but as an undergrad student it will make your life miserable. There are very few simple explanations or material that would fall under an "introduction to inorganic chemistry". Most of what I learned for my inoganic class was finding websites and not using this book.
