Mong Lee Shang Mochi with Green Tea Paste, Mochi Rice Cake, 10.5oz, 10 Pieces

Delicious rice cakes... price well... fresh and nice consistency ... I can't eat too much due to my starchy foods. I recommend this rice cakes for everyone you won't regret. Why? I'm picky eater that's why.

I love both matcha and mochis and this is the best combo of my two favorite things. The mochis have an authentic matcha taste on the outside and are very soft and chewy on the inside. Furthermore, there is matcha paste on the inside that is not too sweet. The texture is perfect, and it has just the right amount of sweetness and matcha flavor. I will definitely buy it again for my everyday coffee and tea time. I also serve them for my friends when they visit. There are other different flavors that this brand has that I will be trying next.

I am accustomed to the royal family etc. or similar round/spherical mochi. I like this product but (due to the cylindrical shape) the ratio of green tea paste filling to chewy outer mochi is too low for me. I prefer a larger proportion of paste filling. The outer mochi itself has a great texture: chewy but not squishy.

Sweet treat, definitely worth a try

This is usually a great product but the package was open and not safe to eat. Sadly I can't return it so I couldn't give it a better review.

I had high hopes after reading some of the comments, but my optimism faded quickly after taking the first bite. The food wasn’t fresh, and the texture was reminiscent of chewing gum that had been in my mouth for over 20 minutes.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is what I've been looking for. I like the paste inside, don't get me wrong. But I wanted more of the mochi than paste. This is what I've been looking for!

Taste like any regular mochi. Everything was fresh.
