Well, I typically do not review supplements because I take them for long term benefits and not for a quick fix for some health problem. Some supplements stand out more than others and when they do, I like to let the seller know that I appreciate a company that does not cut corners to make a buck.I am an older guy (68 at the time of writing). I am retired and live out in the boonies on a 300 acre lake with my wife of 46 years. We are active and wear pedometers and our goal is a minimum of 10,000 steps per day. I average 14,000. We try to eat a healthy diet and we do take supplements to make up for nutrients we don't get in our food. The idea being is that we want to enjoy our golden years, travel, have fun, and not be bothered with some chronic conditions that would keep us at home and more stationary than active. Our regimen must be working. I still have all my teeth, a full head of white hair, my blood pressure averages 105/70 without taking any drugs, my cholesterol levels are where they should be, and my blood sugar is always normal.. So, that is a little background on me.As an oldster, I do have problems now and then with stiff and creaky joints, especially my knees and ankles. I get twinges when I am doing something and my body is apparently telling me to stop it. I bowl 3 nights a week and after a few games, my knees are protesting all the twisting and ball throwing they have to endure. I had knee surgery a few years ago for a torn miniscus, so that knee bothers me now and then.I got to googling around for substances that help with inflammation and curcumin and tumeric came to the top of the list. So, to summarize the things that caught my attention...Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. That is just the thing I was looking for.From what I was reading, curcumin fights chronic inflamation. Without getting into the gory details (inflammation is extremely complicated), the key takeaway here is that curcumin is a bioactive substance that fights inflammation at the molecular level. In several studies, its potency has compared favorably to anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical drugs… except without the side effects. Big check-mark for me.Curcumin has powerful antioxidant effects. It neutralizes free radicals on its own, then stimulates the body’s own antioxidant enzymes. Another big check for me. This is starting to look like a wondrous substance.Curcumin boosts levels of the brain hormone BDNF, which increases the growth of new neurons and fights various degenerative processes in the brain. Well, for an old guy, anything that will give my brain a good jolt is okay by me.Curcumin leads to several changes on the molecular level that may help prevent cancer. I had colon cancer back in 1997. It was successfully treated so I am still here. Anything that helps prevent cancer is high on my list of things to take advantage of.So, this is the kind of substance I wanted to be taking. Searching through the Amazon store, I ran across this brand which really hit all my hot buttons. It has no GMOs, artificial ingredients, fillers, binders, preservatives, stearates, silicone dioxide or titanium dioxide. One thing I hate about most supplements on the market is that the majority of the products out there have magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, and ditanium dioxide that appear on the list of ingredients. Why do you need titanium dioxide? It just makes things whiter. As far as I am concerned it is a poison and I stay away from brands that have it. Those other things are obviously not needed either as you can find similar products that don't use them. This brand is clean of all that crap, plus it is made in the USA.So, I ordered it and started taking it every morning with breakfast. It is pretty potent stuff. I just take one in the morning with breakfast. It doesn't give me heartburn or cause stomach issues. I also noticed after about a week, that I do not have such problems with my creaky knees and ankles. I go about my active lifestyle and don't think about it. My pains aren't completely gone, but they have subsided to such an extent that I don't think about it much. A few weeks ago, we went on a trip for about 8 days and I forgot to take this with me, and by the time we got back home, I was starting to feel my old aches and pains. But back on this supplement for a few days, and I could feel the difference again.So, for me, this is a great product. It is non GMO and doesn't have crap ingredients. It is made in the USA. And it works. This has become a must-take supplement for my daily regimen. The other items I mentioned that Curcumin is supposed to be good for are added bonuses that I hope will work over time to keep me spry and active for many years to come.

I was first introduced to the supplement Turmeric (and thus it's most active constituent Curcumin) through a tennis pro who advised that I take this product to reduce inflammation and encourage healing in an injured knee (torn meniscus). Well I kind of pride myself on being a good "quality & value finder". The VitaBreeze brand of Turmeric Curcumin: (1) contains more active ingredient for the dollar than most other competitors, (2) it's standardized to a very high degree of active ingredient, (3) it include the ingredient "piperine" which increases digestive absorption something like 10 times over!, (4) has been produced and inspected under GMP quality assurance standards, and finally (5) has more pills / milligrams per bottle, for the dollar, than most other competitors (AKA: VitaBreeze was the best value that I could find, by far).BTW, I shared this info with the tennis pro who had introduced me to Turmeric originally. I am thrilled that when I take two of this product every morning, I experience NO back pain. Several years ago I went to previous back surgeon willing to have another surgery, but he said I am way too old now for what is needed. What I must do is take a prescription for pain the rest of my life. Well, a friend told me about this product, so I began taking it instead and at age of 83 living a pain-free life I'm SURE is because of this product. Thankful for sure.
