Worth the money. Great quality components
Awesome mount and cable. Great quality, great feel. The finishes are outstanding. Great quality paint, use of stainless hardware, and feels heavy duty. There are four set screws that clamp into place, and the antenna side has a rubber applied as to not mark your car’s paint. The cable used is fantastic. Durable coating but small enough and flexible to allow for easy routing. I was worried about spending as much as did but since installing the item, I am glad I bought this mount. Excellent value. The quality of materials are definitely worth the price tag. The PL-259 connector is a two piece connector which always you to remove the larger UHF connector, leaving a much smaller, easy to route cable end that can fit through much smaller holes than the UHF connector would be able to. I am still waiting on my new antenna to arrive, but considering the cheap Walmart antenna I am currently using, the sound quality and reception are very good. The mount comes with a 13ft cable which got me most of the way to the radio, but I still needed to order a 6ft extension as I had expected. Overall, very pleased, easy to install, great quality, worth every penny.

The best lip mount you could buy
I used to have the older version of this mount years ago but left it on the car I sold. Then I bought a clone of this mount and used it for about 6 months until it was ruined by the elements. So I replaced that one with this one...the real thing. I didnt realize how much I missed it. This is the most solid lip mount I have ever seen. The bracket is solid when you tighten it. When I say solid, I mean it is so rigid that you will bend your lid before this thing would budge. The coax is very thin and it goes to an sma where it connects to an adapter to connect to the rig. This principle makes it super easy to run the coax because you are not trying to send a pl259 or n type through your paneling nor do you have to remove and replace the connector. I am not sure what type of coax it is and I don’t know how much loss it has but I’m also not using it for dx so It really doesn’t matter to me. This thing is really great and worth every penny.

Excellent mount, Excellent performer
This mount worked well on my 2020 F350 SuperDuty truck. I mounted it drivers side, near the rear of the hood and added some PPF under the mount to prevent paint damage. I paired it with a Browning/Tram BR-180-B and have had a lot of good luck working all of the vhf/uhf repeaters around my area.

Works good and very sturdy.
Bought this for my Focus station wagon and it bolted on perfectly to the side of the rear hatch. In that location the length of cable gets a little tight, but I'm sure with some extra effort I could get more distance out of it. It was due to the design of the car that it had to be mounted in this location, otherwise I would recommend someplace closer to the center of the roof, say, if you have a roof rack with cross members. I highly recommend going back the first few trips and checking that nothing has come loose due to road/wind vibration. It has a female SMA connector on the radio end, so you may need an appropriate adapter.

Survives the car wash
Needed to relocate my HAM radio antenna to the trunk. Installation is a little bit tricky but it's great quality, sturdy and it survives the car wash if you take the antenna off.
