Rockford FosgateR2-500X1 Prime 500-Watt Mono Amplifier

Great amp. Really woke up my 97 tj. I am using it with a single fosgate M2 10” I’m not into crazy bass so I’m extremely happy. Straight forward installation

Solid, quality build. Rockford always underrates their amps. Advertised as 500 but comes with “birth” certificate that has all the actual output numbers. Mine comes in at 663. Which I expected, which is why I had ordered the 600 RMS sub to pair it with. As far as I’m concerned it was the perfect choice for me. It doesn’t disappoint in the least.

Just wanted to chime in and confirm what others have already mentioned. I bought this little amplifier back in August and it is absolutely phenomenal. I have mine pushing one dual voice coil 10" shallow mount P3 Rockford Fosgate subwoofer in a vented enclosure inside my 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. The amp is not even breaking a sweat. In fact, the amp had to be turn way down because it was over powering the factory Bose system. It's THAT loud! I've impressed my family and friends alike with the power that this thing makes. For a minimal investment, it REALLY has woke up the rest of my factory stereo system. I highly recommend this amp to anyone who wants a reliable and powerful amplifier that won't break the budget.

I have 2 P2 12s it’s a good amp not enough power to really push 2 12s P2s work good with one without distortion

I just replace the old version R500X1D but never had a RLC….To Prime R2 500X1 but this one has apparently whenever I plug the RLC amp stays on with no problem but when I turn up the gain or punch eq or bass knob no bass and no sound…if unplug the RJ12 with RLC TURN OFF THE TRUCK set the gai up to test everything works….that’s the only issue…

I took about a year to write this review because I really wanted to get a feel for the product before I said anything about it.I don't have anything negative to say about this amp. I'm not running a competition system by any means but it power my JL 12" sub very very well. With all the adjustment options that it has. The signal sent to the sub is very very clean.The sound itself is very crisp and precise. Theres no distortion whatsoever. The sub that I'm running has an optimal rms of 300 watts, which is right on the sweet spot for this amplifier.As long as it's tuned properly and with a sub that's within it's optimal range, this amplifier is absolutely fantastic.

I have been a Fosgate fan for decades and considered it to be my second favorite. I think I have a change in heart. I run 1, just 1 10” Kicker L7 in its Kicker manufactured ported box. It was powered by an older model Kicker CX mono amp (only because I had it for 6 years) and it dominated in sound! Fast forward to 3 days ago I decided on trying something new from Fosgate and what in the blue hell was I missing?! Granted new amp new sound but this little but heavy guy woke that L7 up!!! I never knew it was asleep! That 10” L7 craves power and this so called entry level 500 watt claiming amp gave it 604 watts!People I have demoed it for could not believe that only 1 10” sub could sound like that!! Well I am going to venture out and add a second L7 just to disturb the peace! I’m sorry but this amp is not entry level! First place for sure!!!
