Speaker Wire From A Good Family
I've been bit by the "audiophile" bug bad of late; been suffering with the love of music and video since the sixties. Good for me, I only have so much money to spend on this hobby, so I have to learn from other's mistakes, advice, or example. Some, more rich folks, can buy millions a year with no problem. I really wouldn't want to be him anyway. I rather admire efficiency.I started with an Onkyo TX RZ810 AVR (max 7.2.2. system) and Pioneer Elite SP-EBS73 Andrew Jones Home Audio Bookshelf Speakers (I have Front Left, Center, and Front Right)--three channels and a subwoofer. The logical choice was Audioquest Type-4 speaker wire and Audioquest Vodka HDMI and Ethernet interconnects. This sounded great to me. I didn't bother going too low (Media Bridge or Monster or Amazon Basics), being that if you plan to climb but start too low, you'll have a VERY long way to travel on your journey. So try to plan as far ahead as possible, so you’ll know which way you are going. Thus, I did extensive reading of everything related to the subject online, and found that audiophiles--both reviewers and users--believed that Audioquest Type-4 was a classic for hi-fi systems. Of course, Type-4 are, in fact, budget audiophile, but they are audiophile-quality nevertheless. I jumped in for Type-4 (mid 2014), and believed what i was hearing in my system was correct (warmth, clarity, no noise), according to the educated opinions. Since then, I have not heard anything less about the simple excellence of the Type-4's from pundits or my own ears.So now 2021, I have the Marantz SR6015 with ELAC UNI-FI and SVS subwoofers, and now my system is 7.2.4. Of course, I'm still loving the Audioquest Type-4, which now cover the Front L/R, Center, and Surround L/R. Also, the Height Front L/R are Type-4. I have seven speakers using Type-4 wire and four with X2 (for a total of 11). Both subwoofers are wired with Audioquest Boxer RCA. All speakers total 13.Now you may wonder what is the point of all this talk of Type-4 speaker wire: Audioquest X2 speaker wire is semi-solid concentric (twisted), 14 AWG, and only has PVC (poly-vinyl chloride) as its dielectric (insulation). Type-4 is solid core long-grain copper, 15 AWG, foamed-polyethylene insulation, Star-Quad geometry, and carbon-based noise dissipation (a serious combo of tech and insulation). Type-4 was a huge hit with audiophiles. It took Audioquest decades to “improve” this combo for Type-4, and that would be the Type-5 as a replacement for the Type-4 with slightly better metal and conductors, with Type-4 still a popular and very, very good speaker cable.Let me tell you that I bought this Audioquest X2 cable at 50 feet, cut it in half, bought the Audioquest Series 507 silver banana plugs for a DIY job for both the Surround Back L/R and Surround Back Height L/R. I needed two 50-foot X2 spools, and four 4-pack 507 Series banana plugs. I first tried to use the Audioquest Series 300 banana, but that failed me by falling apart in service. After many hours of listening, I cannot hear any difference whatsoever in my system from front to back and back again. I have achieved perfect speaker synergy among the Audioquest Boxer RCA, Audioquest Type-4, and Audioquest X2 speaker cables. Maybe, . . . speaker quality along the lines of Audioquest Rocket Series, Folk Heroes, and Mythical Creatures will deliver “better” fidelity. At Audioquest, it's hard to climb too high on their various component ladders. I'm content with what I have in Type-4 and X2.For me, I don’t hear anything amiss in music or movies, and feel both Type-4 and X2 have synergy and are well suited for any mid-fi system with revealing amps and speakers.

The cable just keeps getting better!
Initially, I thought the conductor diameter was small. I anticipated 14 gauge wire, but this cable seemed close to 18 gauge. I needed a 25 foot run, and larger conductors would be an asset. But this cable quickly proved it was much better than basic loudspeaker cable. Less amplifier tonal compensation was required. In fact, bypassing the tone controls seems optimum.

It's worth it
This speaker cable makes a difference. I'm using a pair of Klipsch RP-6000F II speakers in my living room attached to a Sony STRDh590 AVR. I was previously using the cheap $14 per 100ft speaker wire. I used the same type of banana plug ends for my cheap cables (Fospower) and I was still able to get an improvement from my sound with the AudioQuest speaker cable. The X-2 Speaker cable has a noticeably more sturdy, thicker copper material inside compared to the cheaper brand I used. Almost day and night comparison in build quality. The improvement in my sound is subtle, but still noticeable. The bass comes through more fully, like I'm not missing any of it. Vocals in music have a bit more clarity and soundstage. It's quite impressive, honestly.Something to look out for: the plastic surrounding the copper is rather thick, so you'll have to strip the wire a bit longer than usual to get it to fit all the way inside the banana plug end, if you use the same type I did.I was skeptical at first but I'm very happy I decided to invest in the upgrade. Now to see if those AudioQuest Cinnamon cables are worth it!

Good Quality and good sound worth of High Price
Very Good cable i always buy AudioQuest Cables for all my Audio/Video and speakers building Requirements i never buy speakers from the market i always build my own from ground up its a time consuming but results are amazing this cable gives me clear treble, Mids and bass , it is little expensive but its a good cable because you don't install cable everyday so one time purchase will give you lifetime listening pleasure, i wish they make more thicker cable for some serious speaker building.Always look arrows on the cable going from Amp/Receiver to Speakers and wait for a week to get best sound, People who are looking for serious sound quality try to buy Amp/Receiver which has Frequency Response 5Hz - 100kHz, Straight (NOT) 20Hz - 20kHz With Burr Brown DAC in the Receiver And in the DVD Player for Optimal Sound Quality ,and use ANALOG outputs with some good quality Analog cables ie (Audio-Quest Interconnects) NOT Digital cables, here is a small Tip (Go to DVD screen programing options set outputs to Analog and set output levels from (zero-db to )-0.3, or whatever you have lower then (zero-db) ie -0.5, or -1.0 it will sound like your volume level went low but in real sound will be more clear , some people say they don't hear the difference i always say if you have good ears YOU will hear the difference off course with Good Recorded Music, For Serious Music Lovers listen DVD-Audio rather then Normal Audio Cd's but make sure your dvd player can play DVD-Audio Format, Life is Short Enjoy Best Of the Best.

Excellent value
After upgrading my CD receiver I felt some new speaker cable was in order. I’m a big fan of Audioquest products so I replaced my generic 12AWG OFC with X-2 14 AWG. What a difference! Music has much more smoothness and character. Sounds more ALIVE.
