Very happy with Amazon product’s.
Most items were great, I’d say about 95% of them, however the others were so sub standard.

Love the sorby pro edge. I have a tormek as well and I prefer the sorby for knife edges.

A terrible device for knife sharpening
This is a terrible gadget. It requires complete disassembly of your sharpener and then provides no input into the sharpening angle. It is a terrible waste of money - you can do as well or much better with an ordinary stone for knives. The Sorby Pro-Edge does a fine job on gouges but was never designed for knives.

Well built, poor design
What you receive is heavy duty and easy to install. Within minutes I was ready to sharpen my first small knife, a pocket knife. It had a wide but short blade. It was too short for the holder. No problem I thought, I'll just sharpen my other pocket knife which had a longer blade. This fit into holder, but now this knife wasn't wide enough. With this knife installed in the holder, the holder would rub the belt before I could get the desired bevel angle. Now I'm getting upset. Next I raided the kitchen and picked up two quality knives. The first knife I tried, a paring knife, had the same problem as my second pocket knife, the holder hit the belt before the knife edge. OK, one more try! This time it was a carving knife with a longer and wider blade than anything I tried before. This one had to work I thought. Wrong again. This blade was tapered across its width. Wide at the top tapering to where the edge bevel started. With this bade, the holder could not securely hold the knife since it was apparently made to work with flat knives. Maybe knives are shaped differently in the UK. Maybe Robert Sorby has stretched too far beyond their wood turning roots. Whatever the issue, for me, it is a well built useless attachment for the Proedge. A generous 2 start for being well built and possibly useful for hunting knives.
