Great Product at a Fair Price
Great product at a fair price. Works better than I expected. Runs longer than expected with 2.5 Ah battery. Shares the same negative as all other cordless tools, the cost of the batteries! But this tool sure beats using a gas powered, or corded chain saw, in my opinion.

Good chain saw for home use
I have an Ego mower already and the mower and battery had held up well. The chainsaw had good review from Project Farm. It has been great for my home use cutting down small tree. It's lightweight for what it is and easy to use.

Surprisingly powerful
I wasn't expecting much. Just got it to clear through some fallen trees after a hurricane. It's powerful enough to cut through a fallen tree that's about 10 inches in diameter. It does not come with bar and chain oil but I had some laying around that worked out. The chain tensioner is really simple to use. Replacing the chain is simple enough. The fail stop is not the fastest but fast enough.

EGO stands for quality.
Ego is the best brand of battery powered tools made, (IMO) opinion. I don't have to look around the garage for a battery to fit anything specific when working, because all of ego's tools use the same battery. I also have the trimmer and leaf blower made by ego. All three of the tools that I have made by ego, work flawlessly. The chainsaw was tested this past weekend on a huge downed tree at my father's house and it cut just as good as a gas powered one. It was used off and on for 3 hours and I never had to swap out the battery. I will continue to buy EGO from now on.

Easy , no muss no fuss just cut
Wasn't sure about an electric chainsaw, but Hurricane Helene found me struggling to start my gas powered chain saw. This saw works as good as my gas powered, no fuss, no fuss. I'm an old geezer , so my energy runs out way before the battery so can't really comment on how long you can cut. But for me it's more then sufficient. Recommended.

replaced gas echo
The battery will run out on longer jobs, get a few spares, but still so much easier, cleaner, and time efficient than gas. I think for this size blade or smaller, electric is the way to go. It's got decent power and easy to remove and replace chain. The chain does have more tendency to slip than my gas echo's but no 2 stroke oil or gas required makes up for it. Really not made for anything over 4 in diameter but Ive got it through some 15" green logs using a couple batteries.

I'm impressed...
I've had a gas powered chainsaw for years, but it's always been so hard to start that I hardly used it. I needed a chainsaw to make it easier to cut back honeysuckle and the occasional dead cedar and honey locust. So, I don't need a really huge chainsaw. I decided to try electric, and after reading a lot of reviews and thinking it over - I decided to go with the EGO 14". I charged the battery overnight and gave it a try today.I'm impressed...in less than 30 minutes I cut down ~15 honeysuckle, dead cedar, and a few dead limbs off another tree. It went through everything with ease - even the ~8" diameter cedar. It's so nice to just press the safety, squeeze the trigger, and be cutting instead of adding gas, priming the system, and pulling until it starts.I forgot to check the charge after doing that, but it must not have run down much. It was fully charged again in <30 minutes. So far, I think I made a good choice.

Great Addition to My EGO Tools
I really like that this chainsaw uses the same battery as my EGO leaf blower and weed wacker. It’s super convenient not having to buy extra batteries.I used it to cut up a large black locust tree branch that fell in my yard. The branch was about 14 inches in diameter, and I had no problem bucking it into smaller segments. I was able to cut the whole branch into firepit-sized pieces on just one battery charge. The saw is lightweight and easy to control, which made the job even easier. It’s a great tool to have if you already own other EGO products or just want a cordless chainsaw that works well.
