Update: reached out directly to the company and the customer service was amazing! They asked for pics of the broken pieces and mailed replacement pieces right away, plus some back up pieces! Decided to keep the set because it’s just so solid and beautiful, and the customer service was so great!The chess set is beautiful and solid. However, pieces are SO breakable. I bought a first time and within 2 days a piece had just tipped over on the board while playing and broken. I returned and replaced the item, and a piece just broke again, a week later! So disappointing, was hoping especially for the price this would be a chess set that we would have for life.

Its quality is worth the money that you spend. When you're done using it or putting it on for display, you can store it in the black suitcase-like case that you purchase separately. The suitcase stores the chess board and the pieces securely. Regarding the chess board, you can also use it to play a quality game of checkers, through the marble checkers pieces that you buy separately. Currently, I'm waiting for their dark brown and fossil colored checkers pieces to be in stock on Amazon. According to RadicalN, it will take one month. The chess pieces that came with my purchase are artistically made of marble, like the chess board. The only problem I found with the chess pieces is that they break easily. When taking the chess pieces out of the Styrofoam cover, in the extremely well packed box, one of the pawns fell out and broke in half. I was able to glue it back together and it looks fine. It reminds you to be careful when playing with marble pieces on a marble board.As stated earlier, the chess board and chess pieces came in a well packed box. I want to comment on this, in particular, as a lot of the boxes from Amazon arrive beat up, or taped in a way where you can push the box open.RadicalN's customer support is also exceptional.Playing on a marble board with marble pieces make you want to play chess all the more and make you feel like you're driving a Mercedes.My experience, with the chess pawn piece that broke in half, makes me wonder why there aren't any granite chess sets...I think it's a stronger material and just as beautiful.I'm extremely happy with my purchase, recommend it to everyone, and hope RadicalN will make more marble home decorations available on Amazon.

I'm deligthed with this chess set, you can feel the high quality of the materials. The marble gives the pieces a very beutiful desing. The size is perfect, very confortable to play with, And you can left it out as decoration.Arrived in perfect conditions and on time. Very well packed.Meet all my expectation, highly recommended.

This chess set is high quality and as beautiful as the pictures show. The pieces are heavy and satisfying to move. The packaging was great and my set arrived in perfect condition. My only complaint is that the foam stickers that come with the set for you to stick on the bottom of the pieces do not match the quality of the board and pieces. They look cheap and are also slightly larger that the bottom of the piece which makes them stand out more. A pre-attached piece of felt on the bottom would have been nicer. However, given the price and the high quality of this set I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this set to anyone looking for a beautiful marble set.

I received a board with a crack in it. Clearly happened during shipping because it was wrapped extremely well by the warehouse. I wrote customer service, they responded within 1 day. They made it extremely easy. I just had to send them a picture, I didn't have to ship the board back. I received a replacement within a couple days. They were extremely responsive, helpful and easy to work with. I will buy more in the future because of the experience alone. Hard to find these days! Oh and the product is very nice, solid, unique.

I told my grandkids I got them a box of rocks for Christmas. Checkmate!

Unfortunately the entire set did not arrive in time for a birthday present due to a cracked chess board. I will say that the customer service was great in replacing the cracked board, no complaints there. I understand things happen and the customer service representatives kept in communication with me and let me know what was going on every step of the way. They sent a replacement board to me that arrived five days later. The set looks great now that I received the board and I think it was well worth the price. Pieces seem a little smaller than I imagined and the board has no pads underneath which I found kind of strange...but overall the set looks as described and has some weight to it.

This chess set is GORGEOUS! My husband bought me this set for Christmas.. I wanted a permanent chess set and not a toy cheap one. This exceeded every expectation we had. Beautiful as a display piece to just leave out and so beautiful to look at. We play chess and walk away or continue the next day and its just such a well made, beautiful marble, solid chess set. Also bought checker marble pieces so we can play chess or checkers and let me tell you, this does not disappoint!
