Really good overall and cooks really well. Typical of brown rice, is a little more chewy and has more body/flavor/nuttiness but is imo really nice if not better than white rice. Due to it being a whole grain, can have more of a potential for "invaders" along with lower shelf life. My advice, especially to eliminate and/or kill pre-existing potential "invaders, is to freeze it if you have the space. This does nothing to it for cooking since the grain is already dry. Also, do indeed rinse the grains pretty well along with soak for at least an hour.

I was hesitant to try this due to the cost but the reviews convinced me. I was thrilled that it cooked up beautifully in my rice cooker just like white rice. Oh my! IT IS delicious!! There is NO going back to tasteless starchy white rice and we used to eat a lot of it. Now I have a half of a 25lb bag of white rice sitting there and I just can’t bring myself to use it. This is a BIG life changing change for our family.

Very easy and digestible, great flavor and texture. If you double cook in steamer you can make sticky rice without having to use a white bleached product. This is a staple in our house we have ordered at least 7 or more bags and each delivery is perfect quantity. No green or hard grains and always clean and ready to use . It had better flavor ( in my opinion ) than basmati rice and gose very well with some wild rice mixed together. We have eaten this rice with fish chicken beef pork and rabbit!

It arrived in excellent condition in a very durable paper bag. The rice was clean and fresh--no bugs. The first time I cooked it I added some sauteed kale and onion. Was somewhat chewy as stated on the package, but good. However, because I live at a high altitude, it was a bit "dry," so next time will add an additional 2 tablespoons water. The second time I added some to a Creole soup. I like that it only took 25 minutes to cook. Most of this is going into Food Saver bags/then mylar with an oxygen pad for longer storage and freshness. This is my first time trying sprouted rice, and would definitely buy it again.

We've bought this rice more than once. It smells and tastes very fresh. It was dry, clean and dust free, with no sign of insects or rodent droppings. (Yes, we've had that happen, but not from Amazon). The bulk bag is a great value for the price and it will last a very long time, provided it is properly stored.

Tastes great! Texture is a bit different that traditional long grain rice, but not off-putting in any way… just somewhat different.Bought 5 lbs & have already eaten half. We’ll be ordering another 5 lbs.We are storing in airtight bpa-free containers with desiccant packs to keep rice fresh long-term. Might be more than needed, but works for us!Order with confidence!
