Tastes delicious and mixes well especially with a frother. Using it to help nourish muscle as whey protein is rich in the BCAA leucine and it helps greatly. No after taste or odor and I don't usually like stevia but this has a light sweetness and has not caused any side effects.

Yum! Delicious, not overly sweet, natural tasting. Very happy with this whey and feel great digestion wise. I add it to warm water (with a little organic instant coffee) for a nice protein start to the day.

I bought the Classic Whey Protein because I was looking for a protein supplement with minimum ingredients and processing that was organic and grass fed. This company delivered exactly what I wanted with also a packaging that is sturdy and doesn't seem like it would easily puncture during delivery.As for the taste, I was very impressed. I made a PB/chocolate protein shake and the protein powder actually made the taste even better by adding some creaminess or thickness to the shake. I even ate some of the powder alone as some was accidentally left over while making my shake. The little powder I ate was pretty good too.Overall I am very impressed with this protein powder and I will be sticking with this as I am currently subscribed to monthly orders. I would highly recommend the NorCal Classic Whey Protein for those that are trying to get away from as many processed foods as possible.

I appreciate that this product is from what seems like a small, conscientious company using quality ingredients, zero nasty and unpronouncable additives, and creating protein powder that mixes amazingly easily. I would have given it 5 stars, but it is not what I would call "unflavored." In fact, it offers the distinct and prominent flavor of warm bovine milk. Will try the Vanilla flavor next, in spite of it containing Stevia.

The chocolate flavor tastes amazing. It's raw cacao NOT alkalized, which means it retains its flavonoids and other nutrients. They also provide the independent testing certificate for heavy metals in the cacao. It's also not sweet, just mildly. And it's not bitter like other things with stevia, because the concentration of stevia here is so low. Something else that's amazing is the bag's seal, holy cow, I had never seen one of these before. Seals super well, easy, love it.Keep it up and don't change anything!!

This is the only brand I've ever found to be impossible to mix. Maybe everyone else has a binder or filler or something, but I just don't buy that this brand is somehow cleaner than every single other brand of natural whey I've tried. The stuff is supposed to be dried out of water, something weird's going on here...

I have a lot of allergies so I was looking for something with the less amount of ingredients. There are only 2 ingredients in NorCal whey protein. Only thing I would change would be the bag it comes in. They should change the design to a ziplock bag. Then ready to open the bag some of the powder was outside of the closure and some product in where you close it. Make for a messy opening and closing. I want an easy ziplock closure. Otherwise, it's a nice study bag.

The company did well to keep the product organic and clean, with no unnecessary ingredients or additives. But they include very little chocolate and stevia to the mix, and so the flavor is very disappointing. They have very little competition in this price range on Amazon, so they may feel very little need to improve their product. But they should deliver what they promise at the price they offer. This is not really a chocolate flavored product.
