Preparing Effective Business Plans: An Entrepreneurial Approach (Pearson Entrepreneurship)

This is required reading for my MBA course. I really liked the format, it is extremely clear and concise. My ONLY ask would be to add bolding to key terms, it was a little hard to pick them out in the book

The content is fine, but DO NOT buy the e-book. All it allows you to do is go from one page to the next, or click on the links to the figures/tables. It doesn't allow you to skip to the next chapter, let alone any chapter. I just finished the last chapter and want to reread chapter 5; gee, I have to go back page by page, or locate the TOB so I can click on the link. And that is another thing. This is a textbook used in universities yet doesn't even have page numbers. How can I assign readings if I have some students who have the paper version, and others who have the electronic version? This is the last e-textbook I will buy; too much trouble.

This book was written at such a basic level It makes me wonder how much college professors are given in a kickback for requiring it as part of their class. It's a relatively short paperback with no significant updates for decades and a ridiculously overpriced rate.

This book is written very well and does not have the filler that many textbooks have. The approach to business plans is sound and any reader can make a business plan almost in a "fill in the blank" manner (without being simplistic, either). As well, the author provides an example business plan to compare against as you create your own.

The book itself was fine, a required reading for a class...You won't be able to read it from the web through your kindle account, you HAVE to use the Kindle app... that's some bul,. as if you can't screenshot the phone (if that's why they don't allow that).

Even if you don't write a formal business plan, this book will hit you with the questions you should be asking before launching a business and spending all sorts of time/energy/money. Very well thought-out and very actionable. Would recommend

Lets start with "why 4 stars", well, despite being an international edition, this book is very American. What this means is that you need to use a little common sense and think "we wouldn't write like that in a business plan in the UK". Also some of the recommended resources, such as for statistical data only contain US data.Other than that it is very good and will guide you nicely through the process of writing a business plan: from initial idea, to venture naming to presenting the idea to a potential investor.As part of my MBA I had to write a business plan that needs to be good enough to procure funding for the idea (from Angel investors, bank etc). whilst I was writing it I had this book open by my side. It runs through every section of the business plan in a separate chapter. It not only details what the section should contain but also why.The recommended text book for my module will probably be sold after the course, this book, I will keep. It is only a small book.A good, and importantly, concise book that runs you through the creation of an high quality business plan.This book will be useful if you are writing a business plan or are learning how to do so (as part of a course).

Affordable price and exactly what I was looking for. Needed it for one of my classes and it arrived on time. Content is very clear and concise, as well as very understandable.

This is a great business plan resource. It gives detailed steps and excellent resources to assist someone needing to write a business plan. Book arrived earlier than expected too!
