I seasoned this griddle top just like i did for my Blackstone Griddle following the advise of multiple Youtube videos for griddle surface seasoningThe griddle top fits perfectly on my Weber Q2200 and gives me two cooking surfaces on one unit. I've used mine both at home and while camping multiple times now and I absolutely love it.The griddle is the exact size and shape of one of the two grille grates that come with the Q Bar-B-Q Grille. It can be put on either side of the Bar-B-Q by simply lifting off one of the grille grates and replace it with the griddle top. No adjustments or modifications are required.

We’re an older couple who cooks for just the two of us. At home we have both a large Weber grill and a Blackstone griddle. We like using them both because some foods cook better on one versus the other.But, on RV trips we had a problem. Our small motorhome didn’t have room to bring along both our small 17” Blackstone and our small Weber Q1200. Frustrating! Smash burgers are so much better on a griddle and baby back ribs are so much better on a grill for example.This griddle has solved this problem. Now we bring only the Weber Q with this accessory. It actually griddles just as well as the Blackstone. It gets hotter on “high” and isn’t as affected by wind. It’s easy to season and keep seasoned. (Make sure you season it as you would a cast iron skillet or Blackstone griddle.) The grease drains properly and it’s easy to clean.The only limitation is the small size: You have to plan what you’re going to cook simultaneously and where it will fit. But that’s not a big problem for a couple or small family.It’s amazing how much value and versatility this griddle adds to the Q1200. Highly recommended!

I like that it gives us another surface while grilling

So there’s a lot of reviews and safety concerns about using two griddle covers. I can see how this could maybe get the grill too hot. But there’s a full single griddle for the q1000..? Doesn’t make a lot of since. So I bought two and combined them. Also I mainly have been using it with the lid up like an actual griddle should be. OPEN THE LID ESPECIALLY WHEN IGNITING THE GRILL!!!! I only cover once the gas is off. I plan on attaching a thermometer on the hood. But I love it so far. Bacon in the morning..chicken in the evening. All of it came out great. Griddle is cast iron and a bit rough for pancakes. I might give it a shot soon. Definitely season it before use. And continue to maintain properly for cast iron. Going to be using it a lot. I’ll try to update in the future if anything changes.

Great for grilling veggies

I bought this griddle to take on a camping trip for fire pit cooking. Honestly, I don’t have a lot of experience with cast iron and thought this was so cheap, it didn’t matter if it didn’t work out. It was a good price, nice heavy cast iron, and worked like a charm! I especially love the drain holes to push grease down into the fire pit.On the griddle, I cooked bacon, eggs, green beans, pancakes, and seared steak. Nothing sticks if you put a light coating of oil and heat the pan before putting the food on. Wipe it clean with paper towels while it’s warm and then just add a light coating of oil.When we got back from camping, I decided I loved using it so much that I would try it in the stovetop. First, I cleaned off the campfire soot and whatnot with some warm soapy water. Then I heated the griddle on the stovetop and wiped some oil onto it, let it cool, and repeated. The griddle cleaned up nicely and has performed well on the stovetop. Even looks pretty good there!I do own the Coleman grill that this pan fits, but I haven’t used it on there yet, actually. However, I’m sure it will be great and I would highly recommend this griddle for any application.

I was worried this would weigh as much as a neutron star, but it is surprisingly light without being flimsy. So far I have made bacon, burgers, and heated up buns on the griddle. Might try pancakes one day. Best to only have 1 griddle as two will cut off the airflow to the flames. Nice addition to my little Weber Q BBQ setup. I would buy again.

I'm overall very satisfied with this griddle for my BBQ. on first use we cooked bacon to season a bit, then tried pancakes, which of course was a failure due to the grill being completely unseasoned. however, after a week of camping and using it, it was starting to season quite well. overall very satisfied with this paired with our weber Q2000.

Decided to grab 2 of these griddles for my Weber q1200. After "properly seasoning" them in my conventional oven I gave them a try while placing them directly on top of the original grill inserts. They fit very well and no grinding was needed as I had seen in another review. Using butter to oil them, I cooked over medium-low flame taking my time and nothing sticked, even fried an egg with zero issue. Extremely satisfied and will enjoy the flexibility and multi-purpose convenience these have added to my Weber.

Didn't use this on the unit it's designed for. Just slapped it on top of my Webber Genesis grill to have a half side for searing steaks, burgers etc. Works awsome!
