Buy It Now!!!
I LOVE these stakes! They are lighter than I expected (but still not as light as the cheap and garbage plastic stakes) and hold firm in the ground extremely well! I have replaced all the stakes in all my camping gear (which is a lot of gear) with these stakes. Rain, wind, hard dirt, soft dirt, even stiff snow, these stakes work great. Also, super easy to put into the ground with a mallet, back of an axe, or rock.My only complaint is that sometimes the original paracord shears off when pulling them out and the hole the cord goes through is not large enough for a standard size paracord which makes it a HUGE pain to replace it.Overall - Go buy this product now!

Great stakes
I have one Eureka Spitfire tent that is fairly light but is not self supporting. I also have lightweight multi-person tents that are larger too. I have found that my titanium stakes work great in dirt but in some gravel or rocky areas I needed a longer stake to keep it in the ground. I only use these stakes at critical points (2 for the Spitfire and 4 on the other ones) when I think I might need them for the soil type under the tent. If I expect good dirt I leave them at home since they do weight a little (OK, a lot) more than my titanium stakes. These are also good for the 2 key points on my Kelty Noah Tarp since sometimes short stakes just won't stay in the soil in high winds. I highly recommend them because they are strong, have a great grip in the soil and are fairly light for their size.

Alaskan Backcountry Approved
I don't normally leave reviews but I felt compelled to write some for a few choice gear selections following a recent unforgiving Alaskan tundra backcountry caribou hunt. MSR Cyclone tent stakes happened to be one of the notable ones. The muskeg covered terrain and extremely wet late-summer conditions, although anticipated, were a challenge. Paired with heavy winds due to lack of vegetation, I was especially concerned about leaving my tent unsupervised when afield. To enable peace of mind, I was prepared and equipped with these stakes. I purchased eight which weighed in at about ten oz. This was a tad heavy considering my tent is only around three lbs. After all, ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain especially hiking in and out several miles... However, I justified the added weight and was glad that I did. They anchored my Slingfin tent like a rock despite the wind and rain encountered. Not sure if or when I'll use in the lower 48 but highly recommend this product when conditions warrant!Pros:-Durable-QualityCons:-Bit heavy for backpacking purposes-Somewhat expensive

Great Stakes
Great tent stakes. They hold pretty darn well and the anodized treatment makes them pretty easy to clean off. For my smaller tents they work great and don't weigh too much. The usual tent I use these with is a mountain hardware trango 3. I tried them with my springbar tent and they didn't work so hot. The tent stake locations are metal hooks and I had trouble catching the hooks and holding them with these stakes.

Perfect for keeping your camp camped.
I was quite skeptical of the engineering of these stakes upon receiving them. It seems like there isn't much for them to attach to, but once you put them in the ground hooked around your tent's stake loops, you'll see just how much holding power these have. They kept my tent in an immovable position in 60+ mph winds sitting on lightly packed sand, and actually made me worry that I was going to have to cut my tent from the ground when it was time to pack up.I can't even imagine not owning these stakes after that experience. And they're so lightweight I feel I could throw them in with my backpacking gear and not even blink about the weight. Though, I hope I'm never in a situation that would require these stakes to hold down my ultralight tent. If you're planning on camping in some less than ideal weather and want to be extra certain of your tent's ability to not wander off, grab some of these and feel comfortable that your camp will still be in place when you return from your day's expeditions. Grab two sets of them and ensure that your guylines will be as tough as the rest of your tent.

Excellent
These are a must for Alaska tundra and other "soft" grounds.

Fantastic stakes in a relatively small package
These stakes work great in sandy or wet ground, used them in saturated ground to support hammock stand. They also work great with tarps, did not pull out during two days of heavy rain and high winds

Grippy Tent Stake for your beach tent
I used the MSR Cyclone Stake Kit with a 10' x 10' Shade Tent and the King Kanopy 17 inch Weight Bags during a week long trip to the Jersey Shore. I planted these stakes at a 45 degree angle into the unpacked sand and they provided a remarkable amount of grip.Last year, we had to hold down our friends' shade tent during a particularly gusty hour at the beach and I decided to purchase these stakes when we brought our tent this time around. It was worth the few bucks for the piece of mind. These stakes are much more substantial than the thin rods that came with our tent and they are still short enough to fit in the tent's carrying case. I never had to replant these stakes once during our week at the beach. At the end of each day, our tent lines were still taut.I will still be using the rods that came with our tent when we pitch it in our back yard, since these Cyclone Stakes seem like they would be impossible to remove from packed dirt.I would highly recommend these tent stakes for use at the beach.
