My dog Nina has bad allergies. She gets hear infections all the time. I wanted to figure out the triggers. Registration and mailing in sample was easy. Got her results today and it is very informative. I will see what changes I can make for her. Highly recommend this Company.

I adopted a rescue dog 6 months ago knowing that she was an allergy dog - but not knowing what that actually meant. After several vet visits (and rounds of prednisone and antibiotics) and dealing with a very itchy dog - I reached out to a Pet Dermatologist - only to find out that the allergy testing started at $1,000 and went up from there!I searched all the “at home” tests which lead me to 5Strand and their Pet Environmental Intolerance Test - after reading everything I could and all the reviews I decided to take a shot.The sample collection was as easy as brushing and petting (which she loves! I was fretting about getting the saliva sample that other tests required) and the app was super easy to download and follow. I was notified as soon as the sample was received and the results came in less than a week.Results were easy to read and understand and I will be able to share these with the new holistic vet that I have found - it appears that my little rescue is allergic to a lot of things but having this road map is the first step to getting her on the right path!I highly recommend this product and couldn’t be happier with the customer service that backs it up.

I’m not sure what to think about my results.The allergens in red and yellow (allegedly his worst allergies), are things that he’d never come into contact with in normal, day-to-day life. My dog has bad allergies and is on prescription medication— I know he’s allergic to grass and that did come back in my report, but in the green zone (low allergy), so I was looking for something in the yellow/red zones that he comes into contact with to try to control his allergies.I am confused because it came back that my dog is allergic to dogs, which I find really strange. Also, it took longer to receive the results back, but I’m sure that’s due to the pandemic.I know these things aren’t super accurate, but they can be used as a guide if you don’t want to spend hundreds on allergy tests at your vets and custom injections that may or may not be effective.

The customer service has been top notch! I made a mistake and ordered the wrong kit, and it was fixed on 5Strands end. I would 100% recommend. I haven't received my results yet, but rate 5 stars based on customer service alone!

I have a dog who has food allergies. The cost for vet recommendation test type costs were high and far away from where I live. Plus, would be testing the way they do humans. This would keep the allergy reaction and continued steroid use. 5strands worked great for food allergies, now seeing what the environmental allergies are. Seems tree branches could be an issue. But don't know which type of tree. I recommend this as first step. My dog takes allergy pills from time to time but no more skin infections or steroids because I can be careful. Vet appreciated the color coding on the results

My dog Ivy is having serious problems with sores all over her body. the veterinarian has seen her 3 or 4 times , done testing and still has no answers . We set up 3 appointments with the Dermatologist but due to COVID~19 they keep canceling appointments . A friend mentioned this company , 5Strand, I am so glad .Found out several items that could be part of the problem . I then wanted a more comprehensive test to include foods she might have issues with so I called 5Strands and spoke with Melissa , she was very helpful ,and a joy to talk to ! Melissa then offered to add testing for food intolerances using Ivy's past samples.[ they keep the past samples for 3 weeks] Amazing company !Very easy to do!

I have tried a few tests like this, but these seem to work. I mean the environmental and the food test identified things to avoid and we've noticed improvement in our dogs attitude and health after eliminating them. We've also recommended the food test to others and they've reported similar results. I would recommended their products if you are having allergy issues, end the guessing game because a lot of time you're(I was) wrong.
