Works Beautifully!!!!
Small household here.I have the standard pressure canner, water bath canner and even a steam canner.Husband bought this for me as I would love to continue canning through the summer, but was going to do a semi-enclosed outdoor kitchen to keep the heat out of mine. It's been said that electric pressure cookers aren't safe for canning, even though they're advertised as being able to do so.With this in mind, I've never attempted to can in my beloved Insta...I did, however, start researching and found this item.. and was thrilled that it was an electric CANNER and not a COOKER (even though you COULD pressure cook in it if you want to --- I will only use it for canning). The directions for use are simple and straightforward, it comes with everything you need to get started. You can either pressure can or waterbath can in this.I tested it with strawberry jam and was totally pleased with the outcome. It's the perfect size and much lighter than trying to empty a standard water bath canner.I love that I get to can year round without heating my kitchen up in the summer!Very satisfied with this item and would definitely recommend it.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CANNER!!!!
I was given one of these for a Christmas gift and liked it so much I ordered another here on Amazon! This pressure canner/water bath canner is the best!!! It is so easy to use!! And it does BOTH pressure can and waterbath!!! The design is sleek and very nice looking, too! I'm a beginner and this just works so smooth and easy!! The instructions are clear and give plenty of room for your imagination on what to can as long as you follow the canning instructions. It is easy to clean, with the removable 'canning pot' and the lid and seal come off easily to clean and go back on easily. It comes with 2 jigglers and both racks. The 'beep' is loud enough to hear if I am in another room so I can keep track of what I need to do on moving the jiggler. They do 6 regular pints at a time, 7 on some pint jars, less on wide mouth jars or 4 qts, which is fine for me, doing a little at a time. I just can't say enough good things about this electric canner! I was afraid to use a stove top pressure canner because of the horror stories I heard! Using this one is a breeze! I would heartily recommend and encourage you to try if you already can or are looking to do your own as a beginner. I guarantee you will be hooked on it as I am!!

I love this canner!
This canner is perfect! I have a glass stove top and I chipped the edge because I was canning on it and dropped a jar. The Nesco sits right on my counter! This canner is easy to use and you get a water bath, steamer and pressure canner in one. It holds 5 wide mouth pint jars and 4 wide mouth quart jars. It also doubles as a pressure cooker, and a crockpot.I have a smallish garden so I do small loads as my produce yield is small. But if I wanted to do more, the ease of use would allow me to do multiple batches since it can be opened 1 hour after completion. After each batch, all you do is unplug it and wait 1 hour before opening allowing for time to prepare more jars to can for multiple times of running the canner. The Nesco takes the fear out of canning especially for the novice canner.

The easiest way to pressure canner your food!
Worry free canning. I have 3 of these for myself. and bought one for two of my friends, so they can enjoy canning like I do. One of my friends bought herself another one, once she found how much she enjoyed canning. We love this pressure canner, because you don’t have to monitor it like a conventional canner, and is shuts off on its own. Programming is super easy.

Perfect for small batch pressure canning
Have had this a few months now and have been using it multiple times a week for canning and pressure cooking. It has worked flawlessly in both capacities and I am very pleased with it. I have a modest sized vegetable garden so I do can my harvest regularly, but not in overly large quantities at any one time so this pressure canner is perfect for my needs. I was water bath canning prior to purchasing this which was working fine but limited me on what types of foods I could can, so now my repertoire of what I'm able to can has been greatly expanded, such as chicken stock, soups, meat, low-acid vegetables etc. Have also been experimenting with various pressure cooked recipes and have been pleased with the results...it's now my favorite way to make creme brûlées...they turn out perfectly, in less time and less hassle (no having to put them in a water bath in the oven.) Also made some amazing risotto with it, that even Chef Ramsey wouldn't be able to find fault with. So all in all, am very pleased with my purchase and it's performance and feel that it's already paid for itself.

Easy to use
My wife wanted to learn to can. This has helped make the process easier and safer than old pressure scanners. Very easy to use.

So easy!
I have been wanting a pressure canner but have been intimidated by them, water bath canning everything that I could. Hubby got me this for mother's Day and I have been canning non stop with it!! I use it as a slow cooker and pressure cooker as well. That's the beauty of this, I replaced my insta pot with it and lost none of the functionality... Not much at least. The only downside to this is the slow cooker setting only has one setting, feels like hight to me. Also, no large batch canning, If using pints, you can fit 5 in at a time or 4 quarts. If water bath canning, you can't to quarts as they go right to the very top, no room to cover with an inch of water. I have a stock pot so that's not terrible for me. I recommend underfilling the jars slightly as I always have siphoning, causing one jar to not seal so far. Read the manual and keep it handy to refer to. All in all, I am very happy with this canner, just need to know it's limits. It's easy to use and takes the intimidation factor out of pressure canning. When making dinner, I plan ahead during prep and make extra to can up after dinner (taco meat last night). I currently have a whole chicken in it cooking down for chicken stock. I recommend the ball blue book guide to preserving if you are new to it, I found great recipes that I have been using in this canner since I got it. Happy canning/cooking!!!
