Would these be suitable for just arm push ups while sitting in chair

Yes although there is only one each of the weights so you would have to just do one arm at a time. They move about a bit as they’re full of sand. Some people find this easy to grip, others prefer the stability of a dumbbell.

Can they be washed in the washing machine?

I would suggest not advisable because of their weight and potential damage to the washing machine. Can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth if required.

Are these easy to hold in one hand and raise the arm?

Yes you can hold and raise up as they come in 3 weight sizes which are not too heavy.

Very easy for me to hold

Easy to use for home work outs, weight of the plates are fine for me to hold and exercise with. I use the 3kg plate more as its a reasonable weight for me. Generally good all round product would recommend to others.

Cool looking weights in fabric

I needed a 2kg weight to put on my head for 5-10 mins a day requested by my specialist physio.Having begun using a 1kg bag of rice (!) I had to locate easy to use weights.When placed on the head, they strengthen neck muscles which help improve posture.They arrived in one box, I lifted it, unsure why it was heavy... they realised which order it was.Weights had no covering inside box but besides that, they are good.
