A "Must Have" for NICU Nurses
Merenstein & Gardner's Handbook of Neonatal Intensive Care: An Interprofessional Approach is an essential resource for both novice and experienced NICU providers. Co-authored by physicians and nurses, it provides concise and comprehensive coverage with a unique multidisciplinary approach and real-world perspective, making it a vital guide for both neonatal nurses and physicians. The ninth edition includes expanded content on delivery-room care, new evidence-based care "bundles," palliative care in the NICU, interprofessional collaborative care for parents dealing with depression, grief, and complicated grief, as well as new pain assessment tools. This handbook simplifies complex concepts into easily digestible material, making it a must-have for anyone involved in neonatal intensive care. Conclusion:I highly recommend this book for any medical provider standing at the bedside of our tiniest patients.

Great resource
I got this when I was hired as a nurse in the NICU. There is too much to learn all at once, so I would just take sections at a time. Very helpful, easy to understand. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic reference for Neonatal nurses and nurse practitioners
Fantastic resource for neonatal nurses and practitioners. Well organized, expertly written. Lead author is a brilliant Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and educator. Highly recommend. If you only buy one reference book, this is the one to purchase.

Great Book, but..
The book is great, gave it 3 stars because the binding on the pages is coming apart and I've only opened the book once.

Poorly cut
For a $70+ textbook, I expected better quality. As you can tell by the pictures, there were a few pages that were bent and not cut properly during production. Returning textbook for an exchange.
