Lots of sparkle
Very sparkly but I unfortunately had to buy many cans to coat what I needed because it’s clear with glitter. Would recommend a coat of just gold first then putting the more expensive glitter over top

I pray my husband never sees this review....
I. Was. Wrong. There. I said it. Not all spray paint is created equal. There is such a huge difference in the quality and time in it takes to cover an item between this and cheaper versions. Just get this. By the time you have to go over the item to get the same coverage with cheaper products you've spent more money and time than if you had spent slightly more money on the higher quality product. Economy of Vimes Boot theory at work. If you can, pay a little more and save yourself some money.

Doesn’t spray
DO NOT BUY!!! It won’t spray and amazon won’t allow a return. So wasted $18.

Good!
Very good product, previously when I have bought this type of glitter, after two uses, the glitter clogs the hole where the paint comes out, and it is no longer useful. I used this one until the end without any problem, you get the finish it promises. Recommended.

Better than expected, but...
The good:Looks good.Easy to use.Once dry no shed.Self leveling.Very forgiving of heavy spray. The bad:Expensive due to low coverage.MUST use outside (horrible off gassing)The ugly:If you choose to clear coat you either have to do it very lightly or use a lotI decided to try this glitter paint on the project in the photo. I took a child's electric guitar and converted it into an electric ukulele bass. Overall I'm happy with the way it turned out but now that I've done it once I know I could do it much better a second time. What you see above is two cans of the glitter paint. It was a small project and I didn't even expect to use one, but when I did the first one I definitely had blotches and bare spots. As I was using it, I thought the blotches were going to be very deep and heavy. However, 70% of what you are spraying is accelerant that evaporates away pretty much completely, and smells just awful as it does. I brought it into my house two hours after spraying and though it was dry to the touch the off gassing was still disgusting. I ended up leaving it on the porch overnight. To my surprise what is left was affixed in such a way that there is no glitter shed at all. That was a very pleasant and unexpected outcome. But then I had to order a second can to get everything even. After that I used one can of Rust-Oleum gloss clear top coat from the same line. Honestly if I had it to do over again I probably wouldn't have top coated at all. That was actually the step where I ran into most of the trouble. After the first coat of top coat I wet sanded everything with 800 grit. The back of the neck, which is the part I was most concerned about, turned out just amazing. I did not use a second coat on the neck at all. On the body I had a few heavy drips. Due to the textured nature of the glitter paint, sanding the drips made them stick out more instead of less. The whole back surface was lightly sealed with the clear and still has the textured feel to it. Everywhere that there was a drip had thickness that made it really stick out from the rest of the finish. A second coat on the front didn't really help. I finally got the drips to blend a bit better by poking tiny divets into them with an awl. You still see them if you look carefully, but that blended the texture to the rest of the finish and made them less noticeable. If you decide to top coat, go very easy. If you don't mind the slightest bit of sandpaper feel you can easily get away with not clear coating at all.

Pretty but a bit of a pain
UPDATE: 4/21 I contacted rustoleum customer service, 5/6 cans clogged, they sent me a full refund check! They have my loyalty for life!clear base w/teal glitter in it. Perfect if u want that effect, the base color does show through! Its very pretty. However, the nozzle clogs very easily & its very hard to spray evenly. Spray 18" away doing multiple coats vs. spraying close with fewer coats or it will drip & be uneven. I redid the same project 3 times. I followed all instructions, correct humidity & temp, perfectly prepped base surface & it still kept doing this "cracking" look, see picture. I gave up & used a qtip later to touch it up, which blended the "cracking" look but didnt cover it. If youre in love with teal/turquoise glitter, get this, just make sure you choose a base color to put under it that you like! I'm an avid DIYer but crappy artist, on the pictured desktop im going for ombre mermaid shimmer, used it on top of purple spraypaint, i do love how it interacts with the purple. So go for it, but get extra to cover mistakes and in case it clogs.

Color is popping
My project came out so much better than I anticipated. I highly recommend that you paint your item with the gold paint first before using the glitter spray. I colored a vase and some wall art. They came out beautifully!

Gorgeous! Shake like crazy - multiple minutes - for real. Needs base coat of color.
I've gone through dozens of cans of this stuff. I see lots of people complain that the cans get clogged, sometimes immediately upon use. This is true... but, I'm convinced this is user error. The product that comes out is gorgeous.Shake the can rigorously for 2 - 3 full minutes before you start using it. If you're going through the whole can, stop 4 - 5 times through the spraying process to just shake the can like crazy. If it gets stopped up, stop trying to spray and shake it for another 3+ minutes and it will come back to life.We painted an 16' long RV trailer with this stuff and none of our cans were throw away, because we shook them like crazy.
