I’m studying neuroscience at Tulane U so I bought this product after learning about the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, hoping it would increase the acetylcholine concentrations in my brain. Acetylcholine is important for learning (Look up long term potentiation) as well as sleeping/dreaming. This product definitely helps both. From the first dose I took I felt like my mind was more *on* and that I was more mentally present. I was able to stay engaged in class and took better quality notes and was able to learn things quicker when I studied new Topics for the first time. Homework was less of a chore.I have to do a lot of intense studying and drugs like adderall are commonly used by my peers. I avoid them because daily stimulants only work for a short time before the quality of your sleep and waking mental state deteriorate. However alpha GPC improves the quality of your sleep. I had more vivid dreams and woke up feeling more rested. I don’t want to say this is some panacea but I have yet to find a downside to this product. It does make you more tired at night, but this makes sense because of the higher quality work your mind did during the day. And of course, you need to sleep to let your mind fully process the memories you made all day long.Bottom line: if you’re looking for a mental boost and you already found your way to this product, go ahead and try some.

This type of choline - Alpha GPC - works better for me than the other one (CDP choline). I can feel its effect, my mood improves, and it does not slow me down like the other one did. I think I'll stick to it for a while. Great stuff, I like it!

I was suffering from depression, lack of energy, and my brain was just not working like it used to. I knew a lot of this was diet/lifestyle related. I decided to do something about it.I found this product because I started eating healthy and tracking my micronutrients to make sure I was getting enough of everything. One thing I was lacking was choline. While researching choline supplements, I stumbled onto nootropics. Wow, I didn't even know they existed. After taking this, and only this, I felt a substantial difference in mental clarity, speed, and overall function. I have since tried other nootropic supplements, which do have benefits but not as much of an improvement as I experienced after starting Alpha GPC. Of course I would love if there was a "limitless" pill but since there isn't, all we can do is make sure our brains have the nutrients they need to function at their best.I did try one other brand, Now Foods. It was not bad, but I could tell a slight difference. Double Wood was better. I was very happy that they started offering it as a subscribe and save item. The %15 savings helps a lot, that is why I tried the other brand in the first place. I order 6 bottles and have them shipped every three months (I take two in the morning and two before lunch). I also tried the loose powder from powder city to try to save money. After doing that 1 month, and figuring out that it was only saving me around $5/month, I decided the powder was not worth the hassle. I also felt like it did not work as well.I would say that Alpha GPC is the second best thing I've done that has helped my mental function. #1 is eating healthy. Maybe someday I will exercise too but I'll take it one step at a time.

I am a piano player and I had read a few articles about Choline being an important micronutrient that aids in cognitive function. The only part I understood was the "cognitive function" because I have been interested in anything that will help my piano playing which I feel has not been as sharp as it was 10 years ago. SO....I have been taking the Alpha GPC for about 2 months and I do feel a little more on my game this last month. Can I save definitively that it is because of Choline? No however it is the only supplement I take that promotes cognitive function so I am going to stick with it. Its not expensive and there are no side effects so I feel I have nothing to lose and only to gain and lately I feel like I am playing a little better and thats good enough for me!

I have been using this product along with other types of Alpha GPC now for about a year. I hands down prefer this Alpha-GPC from DoubleWood over others, i.e. NowFoods. Using this product I find that my clarity when thinking is sharper. It seems to remove mental fog orbrain fog within 10-15 minutes after taking it. I usually take 2 pills at a time and try to never exceed more than 4 a day. However Ifound due to the amount of Choline can cause muscle stiffness, specifically in my neck. After doing a little of my own research, Idiscovered supplementing magnesium resolved the issue for me.For those who like use or are curious about Nootropics, in particular the Racetam family i.e. Piracetam, Phenylpiracetam. Using theseNootropics without some sort of supplement of Alpha-GPC is a mistake. If you want, I offer an analogy. Image driving a high end sports car(of your choice). This will represent the Nootropic. Now fuel is needed for said car which in this case is represented by Choline.However basic Choline by itself is what would be considered "regular unleaded fuel". Which if you don't know already, let me inform you,high end sports cars require the use of higher grade fuel. So in this case Alpha-GPC represents high end brain fuel (due to its ability tocross the blood brain barrier). Either way Alpha-GPC is a product well worth its money in my opinion. I find Double Wood is always timely in delivery and always delivers a quality product. I offer up this review due to the fact that after I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Hope this helps, and I would recommend for anyone to at least try Alpha-GPC once.

I definitely felt more focused and also had more energy at the gym, but nearly every day that I took this I got a headache without failure. I made sure to take it with food, and I also reduced the dose to one capsule per day and still the headaches continued. I may have had two days out of the whole bottle where I didn’t have a headache.
