Thicker than the last replacement
This is not a rubber hose like the last replacement, It is thicker so I'm assuming it will not kink or collapse. The pump handle works as expected but I always remove that stupid lock thing on the handle. It is very difficult to pump with that on.

Bigger and thicker than the original. Gets the job done.

much better design than older model
i like the extra reinforcement around the tank connector to prevent kinks. My last unit wore out due to constant kinking. Much better design.

bad design
i bought this and after a few pumps, the handle starts to seperate and the hose inside the handle turns and cuts off the flow. the pipe is plastic and should be brass in my opinion. asked for a new one and they were good to send me another one quickly. the new one arrived and it was missing a piece of plastic near the problem area. i dont want to go through the hassle again, so i glued it myself. works ok as long as it is held a certain way.

Great product
I purchased this about 6 months ago and it is better than the original fuel filler unit. The fuel line is sturdy.

Update: No longer priming after only a couple of uses.
Update:So, the hose will not consistently prime itself. I have to lower the spout below the levels that I would have done with the original. Which means I either make a mess on the driveway or catch some in a jar and quickly get the spout to the mower (or other). A real pain. And of course, I have already gone past the return window. This may just be a bad unit, but either way, I'm out $80.***********************************************************************************************This was a replacement for an older model tank. The pump tip broke off from dry rot (probably from the fuel). This fit perfectly and after some priming (I got a little worried at first), it pumps smoother than the original. Very pleased so far.

Replacement part
The replacement hose and pump assembly were nearly identical with the original one that broke (broke at the nozzle -nose tube portion). The original hose and pump came with the Fuel Caddy. The new assembly is better in that the hose is a much more flexible rubber-like material and sturdier material as compared with the cheap (easy to kink) plastic hose that came originally with the Fuel Caddy. I have not yet installed so I don't know if the pump handle works but assume (since the handle looks identical) that it pumps gas at the same speed. It takes a lot of handle squeezing to pump gas so if you don't yet have a grip you will have. Sure beats siphoning!
