The 16 inch Sola level is the best I’ve ever used. I do tile and carpentry and have for three decades. I’ve used Johnson, Stabila, Craftsman and Kobalt. It really depends on what you’re doing, obviously you’re not going to frame an entire house with this small level. But it’s incredibly easy to read, sturdy and super lightweight. It weighs about a pound. I keep it in my tool bag and barely notice it’s there. It’s a good size for tile and short runs but can also give you a pretty good idea if something is level that several feet long if there’s a good solid edge to read on. Just a wonderful level that has made my life much easier.I also have the 24 inch Sola level which is top notch as well but too big to stick in a small talk bag and carry around with my other tools—the best level is not the one you leave in the truck. I’ve had several Stabilas, definitely great levels but heavy and expensive. The Sola is a much easier to read And has held up very well for me

The green contouring on the sides of the glass vials allow the bubble to be darker in the yellow fluid, making it FAR easier to read than standard levels. This alone makes SOLA levels a cut above.

I own a stabila 196 set (high end).These are the lower end solas and they are GREAT. Reading the bubble is super easy and accurate.Even with my stabilas it’s hard to get as accurate as my solas. However. Stabila is strong. These are too, but I’ve dropped my 6’ stabila 3 stories and is still straight as an arrow and reads true (not on purpose)Great levelsDon’t go dropping levels off of roofs please

Like the level design and everything but it just needs 10-12 neo magnets and it would be perfect.

Been using stabilas for years but decided to switch to these because I heard really good things about how accurate they are. They are very accurate best levels I've ever had so far. I like them better than the stabilis because I can see the bubble much easier.

This is my first non-cheapo level and I'm very happy with it. Spent a lot of time reading up on a pro quality level and Sola vs Stabila. Had a chance to use both side by side in person and that sold me on the Sola's unique bubble as it's very easy to use.Planning to use it to build a garage soon, so we'll see how it holds up.Only downside as others have mentioned- Amazon just chucks it in a way oversized box with no padding at all. Luckily mine didn't get damaged, but you'd expect a little more care for a precision measurement instrument. Not the fault of the manufacturer though.
