Great solution for weak ASUS power cables on newer ROG laptops
I have gone through several ROG transformers using the 'newer' 3.7mm power connectors. Almost a new one every 2-3 months. The cables appear to twist and damage internally through normal use. This adapter gives strain release and paired with the older 5.0mm power connector design has been surviving quite well. The horrible forced ASUS power software still complains of the connector not being 'plugged in properly' whatever that means. However, it is no longer swapping power modes or freezing the system. The same 3 wires in both designs, but the older heavier cable transformer lasts. I really wish ASUS knew more about their own products and was less of an integrator given many bad choices in the recent ROG designs based on cool OEM tech being badly baked in. Probably my last ASUS laptop, but these cables are an amazing work around for those horrible designs.

can assist with rare 6 mm x 3.7 mm Asus connectors
our Asus ga502du-br7n6 with an extremely rare 6x3.7connector burned through 2 psus, both Asus branded, within a few months. searching online for these is getting really difficult as this size connector seem to be very hard to come by, almost so that I was considering buying a new pc even though this pc is only a year old. using this, I was able to charge it using an Insignia charger with a very common 7.4 x5 mm connector.

Be sure to plug these ALL the way in.
Mine was not working, not charging, until I checked and found it was not plugged all the way in. A little extra push and a satisfying "snap" was felt as it seated fully into the charging port. All was good at the point! Works great and really like the 90 degree end.

Fits the ROG scar
Fits perfect on Scar II. Was looking for just the barrel and couldn't find it anywhere, so bought this and slaughtered the cable.
