I've been using this product for a week after reading many positive - and negative - reviews. So far, once-a-day application has resulted in less reddening, less itching and less scaling. My wife said it looks "less angry". I use it on my ankles, knees and elbows, where my flare-ups are most acute. One week in, I would say the product has shown improvement. And I prefer this treatment to any steroid-based prescription medication.

I had a sever plaque psoriasis flare up on my arms this year, worse than any I've ever experienced in the 15 years I've lived with it. I've never used Dermarest before but found it on several recommended topical lists while researching sondecided to give it a try. As my plaques were raised and thicker than I've ever experienced before I didn't know what to expect.As I applied my first dosing of Dermarest I was a little worried to see it came out like a clear gel so I was worried this was going to be a greasy mess. To my very pleasant surprise, the product soaks in completely after about 15 minutes and does not leave behind any grease at all, it even makes my skin feel soft and moisturized. If you've never used a salicylic acid product before here is what to potentially expect: it might sting a bit while it is soaking in and doing its work, feels kind of like a sunburn, avoid the urge to wash it off at this stage as it will pass after a few minutes, I promise. Once it has dried up your psoriasis where Dermarest was applied is going to start flaking and peeling... a lot.I have been applying Dermarest twice a day, morning and night, for the past 2 weeks and my plaques are down to skin level now and on their way out. Dermarest has been an amazing product for me and been my first line of defense against psoriasis without having to try out more harsh medications.

This isn’t a bad product. It just isn’t for me. Having very sensitive skin, some ingredient is causing intense itching for me making the scalp worse.

This product works great for my hair

I have a severe scalp condition which looks like seborrheic dermatisis/psoriasis, dr has identified it to be in between both these. The thick flakes have covered about 50% of my scalp, and other areas have grainy/thin flakes of dandruff. This condition has been there for almost a year, and I have tried 8-10 variations of prescription shampoos and scalp solutions including steroids. Few of them helped for a few days, but stopped working later. Now I am using T-sal shampoo with Dermarest gel, and this combination seems to be the most helping for me. Within a week , I am seeing significant loosening of thick flakes-I apply the Dermarest gel overnight everyday and shampoo with T sal alternate day. I will update this review in a few weeks.
