The pool guy wanted $40 to buy it and $40 to install it.... This one fits and easy to put in and it works.

It works in my little pond.
The media could not be loaded. My pond would have to be filled every couple of days, in the summer, to keep the pump under water. I found this product and decided to try it. From the pictures you can see I tried different things but found I needed to get the hose within an inch of the desired water level for best results. I drilled a hole through the pound wall. Put the hose through the hole. Put a clamp on the hose and screwed the float into the hose and tightened the clamp. It works great. I now have a worry free pond.

Components easy to change
I accidentally bought a 3/8th" appliance when I needed a 1/2". Fortunately I was replacing the same valve and the pieces from the 3/8" fit the 1/2" that had broken. The old one lasted 5 years before the neck snapped, probably from a larger critter. My only wish is the float be black or a dark color instead of white. A valve shouldn't be seen IMO.UPDATE - the float broke at the plastic piece between the base of the float and the valve. No particular reason. That's two from the same manufacturer that broke in the same spot. That said - the first one lasted a few years before snapping. I'm getting one with a metal arm this time.

Works great, easy to set.
I bought this to replace one that was damaged. This is a vast improvement over the last one which only allowed a small trickle of water into the pool. It hardly kept up with evaporation. This one allows alot more water to pass through and topped off our water level in no time after the kids were in the pool splashing all the water out. Seems to be built well and is very easy to install.

Used?
The label on the float was worn and faded like it was used and returned for some reason. Figured I would try it so took a chance and installed it. Seems to be working but will watch it and if it's not working correctly, I will return it B4 the 30-day return is up. Will update then.
