Pancetta, Dry Cured Bacon, Sliced, 3oz

Do not buy. This is spoiled meat.

I know it’s supposed to have fat but this was mostly fat. Would not buy again.

The pancetta arrived hot and was at the same temperature that was in my mailbox. It was 90 degrees outside! The gel pack that was supposed to be frozen was melted and not even cool. Wasted my money and had to throw out ruined pancetta immediately! I was also charged over $10 for shipping! Buyer beware!!!!

I normally will substitute another pork product if I'm just looking for 'flavor' in my home kitchen, deep in northeast Texas! However, on my favorite 'TV cooking channels', the chefs are always calling for ***Pancetta*** in a recipe that might also include some expensive food items, such as lobster, asparagus, beef filets, or other foods that cost more than a 'usual' daily menu in the Texas countryside. If I'm going to spend the money on the lobster, asparagus, or filets, etc., then I want my meal to taste (as much as possible) JUST LIKE THE RECIPE!!To find Pancetta in a small Texas town that is obsessed with local beef, and sporting a chicken factory, just wasn't possible. The grocery stores aren't large enough to carry this product in the deli, the people at Walmart didn't know what it was, and the gasoline to travel to the nearest larger town is an hour's drive, sending the cost of the meal even higher. Thank You, Amazon!!It arrived in 3 days, packed with an ice pack, still cold, at my front door. Tightly sealed, it was fresh, clean, cleanly sealed, with a great, 'distant' future expiration date! It chops up, sautes or pan-fries, and tastes delightful, just like the cooks on TV! The taste is clean and fresh! It's the easiest way for me to follow the cooking show 'recipes' on my TV, ...... EXACTLY!! I am very pleased to have received this in a timely, well-packed manner! Having the products you need make creative cooking fun and accurate!! I ordered 5 of the packages at once, and I'm so happy I did. Now, it's fresh and easily accessible in my own kitchen!
