When I use Fanciful Silver Lining 43, I use a wide toothed comb to spread it evenly and I leave it in for 3-4 hours, continuing to comb. It does lighten as it dries and I do not rinse. It turns out fine. I love True Steel even more because it turns to a beautiful lt. lavender-gray. My natural color is pure white.
