If it is your first time dealing with Costar Stabs it is likely that you broke a few when pulling the keycaps off. Thank goodness for these guys. I bought two packs, just so I always have some around. When lubed with dielectric grease, they work and sound amazing.I was worried that these were going to take forever to come, but they came a MONTH early. I am very happy.

These are good drop-in replacement/upgrade for my Tesoro Gram Spectrum SE. The little outrigger posts are taller than stock, which makes it a little easier to re-mount the keys. Wires are the same thickness as my take-outs, and everything popped in securely.

I was rebuilding an older board that used poor-quality Costar stabilizers, and two of the clips snapped during replacement. I purchased this set to swap them all out. The inserts have small bumps to keep them from slipping out of the keycaps, while the inserts are flexible and sturdy.However, at this price, I would expect better wires. The ones shipped with my order were barely thicker than paperclips, and very loose and rattly as a result. Because I had already had a set, this wasn't a huge issue for me, but I would imagine that using someone buying this set for a kit would be sorely disappointed in the poor stability of the wires.Overall, not bad if you're just looking for the clips and inserts.

Customer service was also responsive and quick about fixing a small issue.

The manufacturing tolerance on the plastic parts is not great. The bars pop out with little effort, and there is too much slack in the mechanism, making the keys more wobbly than they should be, therefore harder to press off-center. I compared these to the same stabilizer design from a Filco keyboard, and the latter kept keys nearly straight with no noticeable wobble. I ended up borrowing the bars from the Filco, which are a bit thicker, and that improved matters, so maybe thicker bars are all these really need.

This was perfect for my 3d print handwired keyboard.
