It works for me, better than Kreepy Crawly
First of all lets face it, done of these products are inexpensive . But for the value I found this M6 simple to operate and the best value. Recently I've tried the newest "Smart" Robot, Battery and Electric. They suck. If your trying to impress your techie friends go ahead and waste your money. I'll take a simple mechanical item that works over some high tech electronic item any day. Regarding the Smart Battery Robot, they get confused, just like the ones that are suppose to clean your house (shark, ninja ,etc). This is the thing!! $$$$$$ The batteries are going to wear out, electronic parts are going to go out. You can count on that! Only 1 year warranty. The one unit I brought paid over $700.00 Called the manufacture and asked the cost of the replacement battery. They wouldn't tell me, they said when the battery goes out, you need to buy a new machine . Really !! Ok Back to the M6 . If you follow the instruction, really simple it works great. Two important issues. #1 the hose length is important , just one length too many and it gets curly cues and hinders the operations . #2 the rpm of the wheels is based on the flow volume of your pool. The suggested rotation 20-25 per 10 revolutions doesn't work for everyone. I have a 16,000 gal. 32 ft. long pool. With a Solar heating system. When the solar is working, my flow rate is about 38 rpm , with my pump running at 2000 rpm's. When the solar is not working, my flow rate at the same pump speed goes up to about 50 to 55 gpm. With the solar on I have to adjust my diverter valve for the M6 to 17-18 revolutions to get more volume. When the solar is off, I have to close it down it down.I hope I didn't confuse anyone. The Zodiac M6 works great . If you got the right hose length . And your flow rate is set for your pool operation. If the Zodiac climbs the wall all the way up to the tile line and try to climb out of your pool, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH FLOW AND RPM'S, and it will suck in air and hinder the operation. On the other hand if it doesn't climb the walls and just sits on the bottom, and doesn't move well. You need to increase the flow rate. Don't just go by the 20-25 rpm per 10, you may have to adjust it a little. Every pool flow rate is different based on your pump settings rpm and flow rpm. But the Zodiac really does a great job, very happy , it's simple to operate. AND IT WORKS, NO ELECTRONIC CRAP AND SMART TECHNOLOGY THATS HAS FLAWS TO DEAL WITH .

Great Pool Cleaner if properly maintained.
MX6 is one of the Best suction side pool cleaner along with the zodiac G3 IMO. All suction side pool cleaners can have issues. Setup is important and expectations. I prefer the MX6 because it doesn't rub on the pool and has a fan that kicks up all the smallest particles. If you have a lot of palm type leaves or long stringy grass it will get caught around the internal components though it is easier to clean out than most. If your unit comes to a stop and you visually inspected it for debris but found none. You could have small fibers windings caught around the motor assembly. You'll need to disassemble the motor to clear it. They designed the unit to be easily cleaned and serviced, about 10 mintues to resolve. Most cleaners should run 3 years or so without replacement parts but that depends on several factors and pool chemistry. If your unit wheelies or flips over on its side, then your suction is too low. Setup the unit with enough suction to climb your pool walls. Once you see it not climing the walls or doing wheelies in tge pool, that means the suction has droped. Its a sign to back flush your system. Once back flushed, you should be goid to go until the next back flush is needed or the unit needs to be freed of debrees. It does a great job with everything but long stringy fibrous objects. If you have a lot of that, then go with the G3. All cleaners require maintenance and proper setup. Ive had many pool cleaners and can tell you most will fullfill your needs if properly setup and maintained. Remeber pool chemistry has a lot to do with longevity and maintenance. If your chemistry is off a lot of times, the internal and external parts will wareout faster. Invest in a modern variable speed pump. They are so efficient they pay for themselves in a very short time. I asjust the speed of the pump until it just starts to climb the pool walls plus 10 percent to allow for filter variations. Wattage dropped almost inhale com pi area to a single speed pump which saves a ton of money and allows you to tune the cleaner to perfect suction level without closing valves and wasting efficiencies of a single speed pump. This pool cleaner is highly recommended if it meets the demands of your equipment.
