Batchelor's Tomato & Vegetable Cup a Soup with Croutons 4's 104g (1 Pack)

Finally tried a pouch today - and it's really good. Unlike their minestrone (which has a little bit of bitterness - maybe from some bell pepper?) this flavor has a bright tomato flavor for being a dried instant soup. Not at all spicy - you could add some black pepper if you want a little bit of a kick.There's some really tiny pasta rings and some croutons in there. The croutons add nice texture, even as they soak up some broth and get a little softer.I found it worked best to use really hot water, give it a good stirring, then give it about 20 sec's in the microwave. That helped dissolve any remaining powdery residue and helped thicken the soup up a bit more. This is better than any instant tomato soup I've ever tried... worth the price to get this flavor and texture. Even if you have to make it without the microwave, I think it's convenient and and satisfying. I will buy this again.

The flavor is good and what you would expect from a meaty soup. However, there is gritty residue at the bottom of the cup no matter how hot the water or how much you stir. I like this brand and am a BIG fan of their Potato-Leek soup which has NO residue leftover.

Flavor wasn't like oxtails very bland tasting I thought it would be like clear broth.

Soup doesn't taste as good as other brands.

Very bland in flavor and reminded me of hot chocolate (made with milk) in both look and texture.
