Q: How fast does this blade spin? I just bought one and the blade rotates slower than I expected. Is that normal?

Yes it is normal for the blade to run slower. I have had 2 slicers prior to this one and they were much slower than this Kalorik model. The Kalorik is more power than the others I have had and works well on most everything that needs slicing. Good value and power with the Kalorik. Not perfect but very very good. Worth the price so far.

Q: Why would someone purchase this if you can't replace the blade? It's wasteful to replace the entire machine when the blade wears out.

It will last 20 years plus if the motor holds up? The blade is sturdy and should last a long time. Not sure why they would not sell a replacement blade. Easy to do on how it's made. The blade comes out and is easy to replace. Good machine though.

Q: Are any parts plastic or is every metal?

It is pretty good for tge peice I paid , but the handle that is plastic fell and broke. Now i dont know what to do. I HOPE TGEY SELL THE HANDLE ALONE

Q: Can this blade be replaced by any other slicer blade on the market?

I very much doubt it. It has a twist lock on the face To remove the blade. And there is a deer on the back to engage it with the motor
