Great Practice Mat for Chipping
I bought this golf hitting pad to use for chipping in my backyard, and it's been fantastic! It's perfect for saving my lawn from divots while still getting in some good practice. The pad provides a nice, thick, consistent surface for chipping, and I’ve had no issues with it so far.I don’t really take full swings with my irons on the mat, so I can't speak to its durability under heavy use, but for chipping, it’s been holding up great. It’s easy to set up and really helps me focus on my short game without worrying about wrecking my yard.If you're looking to practice your chipping at home, have some fun, and keep your lawn intact, I’d 100% recommend this mat. It’s a solid option for any golfer looking to improve their short game!

Great Little Mat For The Price
For the price and material quality, this was a good buy and saves me from taking too many divots from the yard. Very maneuverable too. The mat is a bit tiny (8 by 16) plenty of area to hit the ball, however I find it to move with every hit, whether it be on grass or a hard surface. Guessing the larger mat would move a bit less.

Durability concerns
PROs: Nice surface to hit off, convenient size for portability, rubber tee holder works well.CONs: as mentioned by a number of other reviewers, the glue holding the 'turf' to the rubber base just isn't durable enough. After a couple months of daily use (so, probably 5000 shots total) the turf has completely detached. I do 'chunk' my irons occasionally, so this isn't entirely unexpected, but it is disappointing.I plan re-use the turf material secured down to a larger base.

Great portable aid
This little mat is surprisingly heavy duty. Just carrying it around you can feel the heft, and it stays in place nicely when you swing at it. Out in the yard it definitely doesn't go anywhere, and on concrete it shifts only a couple inches. For such a small pad, this is impressive. One thing I did to help cushion the impacts in the garage is place it on a horsestall mat that I use for dropping weights while working out, and it feels a lot better. I typically take decent divots out of the grass (I'm not the kind of player who can 'pick' it cleanly off a smooth surface), so I am thumping on this unit fairly hard with each swing. The rubber base is incredibly thick and durable, and so far the grassy surface has held up well (about 5 months of use). In the past I've had problems with tearing up the artificial surface on mats fairly quickly, but not with this one. A side benefit is that I can remove the tee holder and take it to my local driving range where it fits perfectly in their mats. Now I can use my own regular tees to hit off of instead of a rubber tee.

Saves my lawn!
The Callaway FT Launch Zone hitting mat has saved my lawn from the ravages of my golf clubs. It's small, but anyone who can't hit a ball from this size mat needs to be working on other areas of their game, in my very humble opinion. This mat is sturdy -- a friend smashed the back of it with a one-iron and barely scuffed it. It's heavy enough that it stays down when you hit from it and the tee holder works well for practicing drives. One drawback is that this must be placed on a completely flat surface. If your surface is sloped more than a few degrees, balls will try to roll off of this. If you're looking to practice hitting off of hillsides and from different scenarios, you're out of luck.I'd recommend this for someone who doesn't want to pay to hit the range day in and day out, but still wants to drop their handicap. Overall a great product that I'd buy again, and have told my friends about.

Held up okay after a couple of months of light use.
So I've had this for a couple of months now. Decent compared to some other cheap alternatives on Amazon, but its not perfect. Area is fraying a bit in the middle where contact is made off the deck. Tee holder has held up well so far and no complaints. Small version is pretty small and tends to move on full swings. I usually use it to chip in doors now that its winter... great for that. Durability is def a concern on full hits off the deck. However at the price, I would buy again.

Good quality mat, works for indoor use
This compact hitting mat is exactly what I wanted to be able to take a few swings in my apartment without needing to head to the driving range. The turf is durable and doesn't color my club green. The rubber is thick enough to protect the floor underneath and heavy enough to keep the mat from moving significantly. I use it on a pretty short carpet to hit foam balls into my curtains. I'm a fairly experienced golfer and have been hitting a 54 degree wedge off of it, which I typically take a small divot on. When I hit it cleanly as I would want to on the course, the mat barely moves at all. If I hit it a little bit heavy it will slide an inch or two. Of course if you chunk it it will move quite a bit. I've found that it stays put well enough for me to enjoy hitting off of it. I would recommend this product for anyone considering one of these small mats for indoor use.

Quality Golf Mat
I've had this hitting mat for over a month now. It was purchased at the urging of my wife so that I would not wear a hole in the rug taking practice swings in doors. It is heavy duty and very solid feeling. It's the perfect size, especially for my indoor needs. I try to get in 20-50 practice swings with a 7 iron every day along with some random wedge and chipping swing practice. This thing shows zero signs of wear after a month of this use, and I am now expecting it to last for years. The rug I hit it on is thin and on a hard surface, so this mat does slide around a bit on full swings that would be taking a divot on normal turf. I don't have to readjust it on every swing and it doesn't bother me when I do have to, but it's worth mentioning. My only other issue is the smell. It smells like a tire factory; doesn't stink up the room or anything, but if you toss it onto a blanket or something like that to store it then you will have a rubber smelling blanket.Excellent quality product and I'm very pleased that I bought it.
