Works as advertised to convert standard 1" bar to Olympic 2". I purchased three for a power line vertical leg press. I like that they are extremely hard plastic and not metal so there is less friction when removing the plates. The rounded end also helps. You should note that the rounded end cap is also removable and allows you to cut to a customize size if necessary. (You should cut from the cap end and use a chop saw with appropriate blade for cutting plastic to get a vertical cut to ensure cap fits back on snug/square) When adjusting the set screw be careful not to over tighten. Works great in a vertical position and stays in place. I have not tried horizontally yet so I'm not sure how well set screw would stay in place that way.

Very solidly made. Doesnt feel cheap at all. Very toughI bought this to extend the weight horn on a particular piece of gym equipment. I had an 8 inch adapter, and could only fit so many plates. I bought this, and can now fit an additional 100 pounds of iron plates (not bumpers) on the horn, giving more longevity to said piece of equipmentNice, inexpensive upgrade over the 8 inch adapters

Teh issue with this is that although it fits and does generally what it is sup[posed to do you cannot tighten it as much as you would like or as much as I would like as it slips a little The insrutctions tell you not to tighten it too much as it strips the mechanism. I had one before and that is what happened. So it does the trick but you need to be careful with it.

I ordered this item thinking it was metal but when it arrived I found that it was plastic. Even though it was plastic it has worked so far. I put this machine in a gym at my place of work and it gets abused. So far after a month of use it has held up.

The item is just as it is described. I didn't have any problems installing it onto my Body Solid leg extension attachment. It is a bit longer than necessary, but I'm not too worried about it. You can cut it to a shorter length if you'd like. I had no problems tightening it down with the allen key. I wouldn't tighten it as hard as you could, because I could see it breaking since it's a metal screw in plastic, but it seems to holding up and staying in place just fine after multiple uses. Probably best to keep it installed as well instead of taking it on and off.I would buy again.

This is similar to other Body Solid equipment I've purchased: a weird mix of high quality materials and garbage design decisions. First main issue is that the front cap keeps falling off even when I super glue it down. The reason for this is due to the second issue which is that it's slightly too wide near the cap for some plates. My 10lb Rogue Bumpers catch on this which make them a pain to add and remove.If you got the Body Solid leg curl/extension machine then you need to get this exact sleeve for its length. For any other reason, don't get this product.

Ordered this to provide the ability to add more weight on my leg curl/extension. Works great!
