I've been diagnosed as being borderline diabetic, but even if I wasn't, I consume way too much sugar and calories! This has been an excellent weight loss tool for me over the past few years. I lost over 100 pounds in approximately a years time, and I am not giving all of the glory to my friend Glucerna, but what I will say, with me having a very sedentary lifestyle it has been nothing but a huge help.What I did to lose the weight was count my calories (thank you also, myfitnesspal, you rock!) and of course exercising is very beneficial health wise, and I try to do what I can, but I'm not the most consistent yet, shall we say. Anyway I have a desk job, and my hobbies usually involve sitting on my rump, so I don't *need* a lot of calories. With Glucerna, I have one bottle while I'm at work. Yes the full 8 hour shift or more, just one bottle, and I may drink coffee or water throughout the day, and some days I may mix it up and eat out or what not, but majority of the time, I eat breakfast (small and predictable usually oatmeal and coffee or juice), go to work and drink water and my one Glucerna (which I don't know if I trained myself to become used to it, or it really is filling enough, but I usually make it throughout the day without being hungry, or I may become a little/somewhat hungry at the end of my shift) and when I come home I eat pretty much whatever I want, I just moderate the portion size.Yes I know that may not be optimal, and there are things I could do better, but for me I'm a bit lazy when it comes to meal prep and all of that, so this has been an affordable, easy, and effective option for me! I really did lose 100 lbs, and I'm not sure if I could say I did it without using Glucerna, because I had tried eating low calorie lunches, like fruit or a salad or what not, but it was never filling enough for me to get through the day and I would end up also feeling miserable. This sates my hunger between breakfast and dinner, I'm guessing must be somewhat healthy with all the vitamins and such, and keeps me feeling great. Also I am lactose intolerant, and this has never caused any stomach issues for me either. I hope this helps anyone who may be considering this product for weight loss or for meal replacements =)

They are really helpful in controlling my blood sugar levels and I like the flavor a lot. I can get the rich chocolate (which is my favorite - yum) locally but had a hard time finding the pecan and wanted to try it so was happy to find it on Amazon. I'm type 2 diabetic and my doc had been trying very hard to put me on meds that would cost me $1,000 every 3 months. I have been trying equally hard NOT to be put on them and have been working hard to improve my BS by losing weight (why can I put on 2-3 lbs in a day but it takes a couple weeks to lose it 🙄), walking daily, watching carb intake. It seems to be working. These are a tasty and handy meal substitute especially to keep in the fridge at work. I have tried the rich chocolate, caramel chocolate, and pecan so far and like them all. Not cheap but as I take them instead if a meal not too expensive.The digestive issues mentioned by several - yes, they do give me some diarrhea sometimes but I think it is the combo of them and metformin - a lot of things - mist anything I eat really - give me that issue when I have taken metformin. I probably would not drink one if I was not going to have easy access to a toilet (or was going to a meeting). But, to be honest, I pretty much avoid eating if I have taken metformin and will not have easy access! (I sometimes just don't take the metformin if I'm traveling - not an issue right now with Covid).Overall very pleased. Did not fill in the stars for sheerness - seems a weird option?

The taste is yummy, it’s like your favorite desert!!I gave it 4 stars because delivery is horrible! I’m disabled and therefore a friend is always here when delivery is announced Never delivered when promised Today it was by 6 pm, then 9 pm, then later this evening, then it will be delivered tonight, right now the next delivery date is 3!!! days from tonight. What? The product is supposedly in my neighborhood, since this afternoon Maybe Amazon needs to make sure that all the products leaving their warehouses are being delivered in a timely manner. Not a happy camper and thinking of canceling automatic monthly delivery. Amazon, don’t rely 100% on other companies while you’re raking the money in. In the end it’s YOUR STORE and you’re responsible for Everything that happens under your name and in your warehouses!

Great price for usually very expensive shakes. The only way to beat this deal is when they are on sale and you have coupons at the grocery store. Also, for diabetics these and the Ensure Max are the ones to buy. No sugar, a high protein content, and they taste great. Definitely refrigerate them before consuming for the best texture. These helped save my grandfather’s life as his nutrition was way off from an illness and he couldn’t eat enough. He’s all better and thriving at 91 thanks to these.
