Works well but fidgety
If you want a decent cheaper belt and chest plate that looks the part this is for you. The design could be better as per other reviews ie battery cases, size, attaching chest unit but once you figured these out you’ll be happy enough, considering the ones you get with the usually costumes are the worst. I cut the rubber chest unit out of my suit and taped this one with gorilla tape, it does have a Velcro strip but doesn’t come with a piece to attach to ur suit. With a little tinkering I plan to upgrade the switches which are currently a small push button, you can all the units blink or static. Belt is good for average man, will go 38”. Thank you, I had a blast with my son tonight, got him good coming up the road fully geared up, hadn’t a clue

Disappointing
Disappointed whit the item. I was so excited when the package arrived after waiting weeks for it. The first thing I noted when I opened the box was there was what looked like dried in blobs of glue that had been wiped of but not Cleland properly. Along with what looks like some scratches all on the belt parts. Now the package comes with absolutely no instructions. The item comes . With no batteries but with no instructions you don't know how to fit them. So being that i am not stupid I looked around the item seeing that there was no opening for m e to put in the battery I figured I would have to open the back of it. This is when I noticed that the chest plate only had 2 of the screws in it were there were suppose to be 4 so I opened the chest plate to find that the only thing to put the battery in was a small round plastic case. It felt quite delicate and it was hard to open and I was worrying that I was going t o break it after opening it I put in the battery. Now to switch it on there is no on off switch. There is a tiny slot in the bottom of each be'm t pack and chest plate and once you put the power point back in you have to position the small button in line with the slot on the bottom of each pack. Now f you are going to use these and want to switch them on and off you will need to take something small and thin so you can switch it on and off. Now while opening the b e Ltd packs I again had to fit the battery. One was ok just the same as the chest plate but the other one the part were . You have to fit the batter was glued to the unit. This meant that I could not get the battery in so I had to force it out hoping that it would not brake. Opening these small battery packs are difficult and so flimsy continued opening will break them. And I have to mention that the chest plate has no way of fitting the chest plate to your costumes. And the item paint job is not the best. So I will have a bit of work on this to make it better. So think about it before paying out the £45 for it. The only reason I have not sent it back is I waited so long and my star wars party is this weekend.

Worth the money
Although these boxes are smaller than the 'real' ones, the result is quite good. I'm not slim but the belt is long enough. To me, putting the batteries in place is not a big problem, it's easier than I thought. The only issue is that the three switch buttons are not practical at all and need a needle or something to reach them and light up. Anyway, if you don't want to spend too much money buying movie accurate boxes, I recommend this item.

Good product
The product looks great especially when the lights are on. It's well made and looks like it's going to last. It's a little on the small side (I'd say a 3/4 size replica) but unless you are looking for movie accurate then it will certainly do the job. The elastic is good quality and has some very strong rivets holding everything together - I'm a size 34" trousers and it fits me fine (at a push it will probably fit a 38" waist). Chest plate is also pretty good albeit a little on the small (3/4 scale) size.

Totally different to the photo on Amazon site
Bought this for Grandsons Christmas present but there is no where to hold batteries, its suppose to light up as shown in a photo of another customers. £56 is expensive for what it is..a bit of metal that doesn't do anything. It's totally different to the photo on Amazon site. Grandson really upset & disappointed. Will be returning

Bit on the small side. Fiddly to put the batteries in. No instructions. Read on for my own.
Not full adult size. The lights worked but it is very fiddly. Here are my instructions... To fit the batteries take out the black cylinders and open them up. The ones in the belt are hard to open. It was better to remove them to open them as it was impossible to open them unless you did. I would start with the chest plate batteries as it is much easier and you will get a better idea of what to do with the belt battery holders. Once they’re in then the lights can be switched on by pressing the small button on the side of the battery pack that is exposed by a small hole from the outside. Once it’s lit up it’s very effective. Just a shame it’s about two-thirds of the proper size.

Love it
Love it especially now figured out how to work it. Only concern is how I'm going to put the panel on my costume

Not good
What a disappointment, the belt is child size as is the chest plate. The batteries are virtually impossible to fit, I gave up and installed an led strip as it's for a display Vader. The whole thing is cheap and nasty and I am only keeping it as it's the only option open to me right now. I recommend looking elsewhere for a decent belt and chest plate.
