RawHarvest Kala Namak (Himalayan Black Salt) Coarse 12 oz

I tried this salt at the recommendation of a friend. I enjoy the flavor. My wife is allergic to eggs and I mixed this with some tofu and she couldn't really tell the difference. The smell and taste won't be for everyone though. It does have a strong egg smell to it.

Smells and tastes like eggs, which helps to give tofu the taste of egg, thus fooling the mind into believing you're eating a eggs. Good for Vegetarians and Vegans.

Great product. Never tried it before but it was recommended as being great for vegan to use to add the flavor of eggs to our dishes. It really does taste like eggs and works with the salt grinder I already had at home.

I used this product as directed in two recipes, and I ended up not being able to eat either one. This salt tastes very sulfur-like, in a rotten egg kind of way. I did not enjoy the smell of it either.

the granules of salt are large, so I'll purchase a grinder (like one for black pepper) to more evenly flavor my recipes.

Takes like the delicious sulfur taste. It's like the center of a hardboiled egg!! It's got a vivacious flavor and is really good for healing 🥰

Really adds the egg flavor and aroma to tofu dishes. Not sure how much sulfur is safe to ingest but you don’t have much in a recipe. This will last for a while

It seems to have dissipated since the initial opening, but this smell coming from a food product is not ideal. Initially with the bag open and some out on the counter the whole room had that sulpher smell. Unreturnable product per Amazon policy I guess, so my attempt to send it back got swatted away. It's possible this was a one off or more likely that it's something they blow into the package to preserve the product. Whatever it is it sure seems like overkill for salt.
