My partner likes them because they just enough for them on toast

Little smell or taste
This is a pretty poor excuse for jam, without a fruity smell or well-defined taste. It would be a disappointment on toast, bread or scone. It does, however, have just enough sweetness to enhance the taste of gruel (though no fruitiness is evident), and on that account I can make use of it. I have been trying out some 'jumbo' oats which, although they have enough natural sweetness when chewed dry, lose it when boiled in water. For this purpose I can recommend it, if not for anything else.
