I was really surprised how effective this was, gravity feed n all I wished it came with a speed adjustment

The SaltDogg spreader is good. The trailer hitch attachment is really easy to install and remove. If any moisture enters the drum the salt at the bottom will solidify. You must empty the spreader during each use, otherwise you will be cleaning out hard salt before your next use.

Bought this product, tested out for the day. Didn’t work, the operations mechanism gave me tons a problems, I returned it within the time allow for it and they didn’t refund me the whole money I paid for it. I will not buy from this company again.

Amazing product for the price. Works okay. You just have to make sure the salt or rock salt you put it in is completely dry otherwise it will clog up in the bottom and not feed properly. I used it all winter for commercial use with about 300 plus bags of salt through. It only clogged up twice because a couple bags got moisture in them. Also the wiring could be a little heavier duty but for the price I cannot complain too much.

installed this salter in November and didn't even last two months. Was salting this morning and the thing just shut off... they took away the decent speed control unit to a single switch on/off. They removed the auger to keep the salt from jamming up and it barely works being gravity fed. the wiring harness was too short to reach battery to back of truck. I never seen such a degradation in the quality of a product. Salt dog should be ashamed of themselves.
