Excellent Air Purifier
The Airfree Onix 3000 Filterless Air Purifier uses unique Patented Thermodynamic TSS⢠Technology to purify the air in a room space no larger than 650 ft². The technology used in the Airfree utilizes the similar concept of how boiling water destroys microorganisms. The Airfree uses air convection to drive 14,000 to 20,000 liters of air into the purifier every hour. It takes 24 hours to complete the air purification cycle in one room, so it is important to keep the Airfree in one space and not move it from room to room. The inside core is heated at temperatures close to 400 degrees F in order to successfully kill harmful microorganisms. Prior to returning to the environment, the purified air is cooled. This clean air then dissipates throughout the entire environment of the room. The outside of the Airfree gets warm, but is not too hot to harm anyone that touches it. The container is childproof so that children cannot stick their fingers inside. My husband and I have been exposed to toxic mold in the current rental where we live. This exposure to mold has caused some health issues such as severe headaches, blurry vision, memory loss, and difficulty concentrating. We researched various air purifiers and decided to purchase two Airfree Onix 3000 Filterless Air Purifiers. After using the Airfree for only a few days, we started noticing an immediate difference in the quality of the air in our rental condominium. The musty, stale odor that would never dissipate was gone. We placed the Airfree in the main living area and one in our bedroom. The main area of mold is in the basement. However, having these two filters in the home has made a huge difference. While we are seeking a new living environment, these purifiers are making the situation more bearable while staying in this rental.I highly recommend this product if you are in need of a purifier that can achieve 100% efficiency at destroying allergens, mold, viruses, bacteria, dust mites, pet dander, organic pollutants, pollens, tobacco, and ozone pollutants. One nice feature is that the Airfree uses Filterless technology so you wonât have to invest in extra costs of purchasing replacement filters. The purifier is completely silent. I was worried that any noises from the Airfree would keep me up at night since Iâm a light sleeper. However, Iâve had no issues sleeping with this quiet purifier. It has a night light feature which is a blue light that provides enough lighting to see, but is also not too bright to hinder sleeping. I like that the purifier is small and easily portable. It is a low energy consumption purifier that is clean and environmentally friendly. There are no ozone or ion emissions. The Airfree awarded design definitely is âthe blend between design and efficiency.âThe Airfree is available in over 50 countries and has been rated among the highest-quality air purifiers in the US. You can have confidence in this purifier that reduces harmful microbiological pollutants in the air in a natural manner without the use of filters or dangerous chemicals. Anyone who needs a natural solution to allergies, asthma, respiratory issues, and exposure to toxic mold will be extremely happy with this product. This product has been effectively tested and proven by a variety of global laboratories. In an isolated event that the Airfree overheated, there is a safety feature where the heater shuts off automatically. I highly recommend this product and was not compensated to write this review.

Small, efficient, and cute
So far I think this is a great product. It runs silently and seems to be doing a good job of keeping the air clean. I love that Iâm not changing filters.

Yes, you can turn the light completely off!
I sleep in a basement, concrete walls covered with insulation and green board. Humidity is kept at about 50%. There is potential for hidden mold, this seemed like a good idea. The past half a year I have depended on Afrin nasal spray almost daily, just to breathe some of the time. I spent as much money on the Afrin as I did the AirFree Onix. Add to that constant use of a neti pot, Tylenol sinus and other items.....and I rarely was able to breathe out of my nose. A sinus infection, anti biotics, dental infection and the issues went on and on.Since I have this, I have used the Afrin twice. No neti pot, nothing else. I am breathing better than I have since I don't know when.We have since bought a second unit for the upstairs bedroom. My health has just been too complicated lately to state positively, this alone was the answer for me. But when your health is this seriously compromised, this is a relatively inexpensive product to try.I do however find the night light very annoying. I can not stand any light at all. Yes, there is a small knob on the bottom to adjust the light.Update 6/13 I found the light turns off completely when you turn the knob clockwise, which was pointed out to me by a dyslexic. Whodathought?I was going to return the unit and purchase the new Sharper Image Oasis model instead. One night without the Airfree and I decided it was worth keeping. I now use both units.

Out of the box review...
Leaving this at 3 stars as I just opened it and plugged it in - upfront colors do not change on this P3000, but it appears to be plugged in. I did research about whether this would absorb the diffusers and humidifier I have and it said it would not change the smell of the diffuser. I bought it primarily to handle the dust as I am struggling with the dust. I am sad to read that some said that this did dehumidify the room. Attacking mold should not remove all moisture. Again will see how this holds up, I am parting with it over color changes, but it does make wonder if that doesn't work what else doesn't work. To be continued.

$299 for stinky smelly CHEAP plastic ... ARE YOU KIDDING?! Save your money
Airfree Onix 3000 Air PurifierOn paper the Airfree Onix 3000 is astounding. No moving parts, heats air automatically pulled inside to 400 degrees F, where it basically destroys mold, bacteria and more. The air in your house will be clean fresh and smell wonderful. How great is that? Turns out not so much.At a price of $299 I assumed the Onix would be made of porcelain, graphite or some other heat resistant composite. I mean the inside heating element is made of steal. I was shocked to discover the onix is made out of cheap plastic. Oh, and it smelled to high heaven even before we removed it from the box.Thinking the smell would dissipate after the Onix had been on for a while, we plugged it in. Within minutes the room was filled with the odor of burning plastic. After being plugged in for the entire afternoon, the smell was so bad it made EVERYONE's eyes water. Suffice it to say we unplugged it, at which point we learned the Onix was almost too hot too touch. (So much for cooling off the air before it leaves the Onix)It took a few hours for the thing to cool down enough so we could repackage it. I worry the Onix runs so hot that it represents a fire hazard. While the Onix did reduce odor in our sitting room, the smell of burning plastic was worse than any pet smells. We have since replaced the Onix with an Austin Air Bedroom Machine. (see link) It works, removes smoke, smog, dust, VOCs and makes the air smell fresh.
