Fantastic bamboo cutting board. Perfect size. (Updated to 5 stars from previous 4-star review)
Fantastic bamboo cutting board. Beautifully done. Perfect size too. Not too heavy, but stays in place while you're using it. It arrived three days ago. I oiled it up with 4 coats of John Taylor's Butcher Block Conditioner before using it, and it's looking pretty good. The cutting board took the oiling quite well. Just one thing to mention: After I oiled it, I wiped it down with a rag and noticed a few tiny splinters/fibers (like the size of thread or a hair, and some a little bigger) sticking up from the surface. Then, after its first washing, I noticed a few more fibers pulling up from the surface. I'll keep it at 5 stars. But I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if it gets worse.Btw... the company who sells these boards impressed me with their follow-up emails. They seem genuinely concerned that you're satisfied with your purchase.Update: 5/25/2015====================Had to drop one star because the cutting board needed additional sanding and oiling before it was ready for use. After a few washings splinters and fibers kept pulling up from the surface. I even had to pull a splinter out of my palm. So I took it into the shop and knocked off the splinters with some 80 grit sandpaper, then finished it with some 220. And finally a couple coats of the butcher block mineral oil, warmed slightly to help it soak in even deeper. The board's finally looking pretty good. But this kind of customer intervention shouldn't be required. It's as though they prepped it to about 85% of a normally finished product, and then packaged it up. I'd rather have it done right and pay a few extra dollars for the additional manufacturing steps.Might seem strange to give 4 stars in a situation like this, but the rest of the quality of this board is still top-notch.Update: 10/15/2015=======================The cutting board just keeps getting better and better with use. No more fibers/splinters to speak of.... which makes me wonder if it wouldn't have been just fine if I'd left it as-is instead sanding it like I mentioned. It might have taken more time to get to this condition, but I bet it still would've gotten here. For that reason, I'm taking it back up to 5 stars. It has remained perfectly straight (no teetering or warping), and the surface, even with all the expected hash marks from chopping, is excellent. Plus there's none of that funky wood flavor getting transferred to my veggies.Update: 10/11/2016=======================One year later and it's still spectacular! I haven't oiled it or done any other maintenance on it since the initial prep I did when I first bought it. No cracks, no splinters, and still perfectly straight. Love this thing!

Good first impression
It's only been a week, however first impression, is very positive. Feels nice under the knife's edge, no hard harsh feeling, one of the reasons for getting this board, to preserve the life of our knives. Easy to clean, practical size for most day to day and holiday cooking.

Well made, sturdy and no plastic
We have become concerned about microplastics getting into our food - so here we are, no more plastic, and this beautiful, sturdy, and flat wood cutting board is doing its job. This is large enough to work for a small family (larger ones are available) but a very nice product and a great value.

Decent cutting board with regular standard care.
Purchased in Oct 2018. It is now Aug 2025 and time for a replacement due to splintering. Use was approximately 4 times per week, mostly prep knife work for vegetables with occasional meat slicing. Hand washed after every use and oiled (mineral oil) once per week. Bamboo is hard when dry, but will soften with sustained moisture (prepping large batches of diced tomato), which has lead to our need for a replacement. Wish we could have gotten a few more years out it as we do with our softer maple boards. The shallow mote does well for catching drippings from small cuts (i.e. 1-2 chicken breast, beef sirloins steaks) but will not catch all from medium cuts (i.e. pork tenderloins) and don't even attempt a roast without a towel under. The board is not slip resistant, so the standard procedure of a damp towel under should be used. It can also be hard to lift from flat surfaces due to rounded design of all edges.

Very strong and durable. Great bamboo cutting board
My wife and I love our bamboo cutting board. Easy to use for everything from vegetable, onions or meat. Very strong and durable. Easy to clean with soapy water. Have mineral oil for my bamboo cooking utensils when they start getting dry the same can be used on the cutting board. Well worth the money.

Nice looking
Great size cutting board, durable and easy on your knives. Wash with warm soapy water comes out clean and just dry off to keep it nice. This brand was recommended to me by You Tuber who uses clean products without chemicals. One side is solid and the other side has a groove to catch juices which is nice!
