It's wellbuilt and strong which makes it a bit heavy
Pleasantly surprised. Its a solid unit, high torque motor/gearbox cuts quick without hesitation and the jaw opens back up quicker than I thought it would. Good battery run time per charge so far. Some "Key Points"KEEP The BLADE COVER ON when not cutting. VERY SHARP I put the cover in my pocket when I cut then right back on after cutting. I also use a drill holster on my belt that works very well. Its a BIT HEAVY on the POLE FULLY EXTENDED. Easier to control STANDING MORE UNDER IT rather than out in front of you. Also the SAFETY LOCK lever for me WORKS BETTER to use my middle and ring finger together but its my ring finger that actually moves the lever because it pivots as apposed to the whole lever depressing. SQUEEZE the LOCK LEVER then the TRIGGER BUTTON if you squeeze both together it catches a bit. Its worth a little practice. This will cut up to 3/4" including your fingers. Use care and don't over work it and I think it will serve you well for a long time.I have severe RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS and this is a TOTAL GAME CHANGER.This is one of the BEST PURCHASES I've made in years. I actually enjoyed writing this review.

π Absolutely Love This Pruner ππ
Update 8/1/2022: I was trimming a tree today with a pruner. I got out the ladder to cut a few low hanging branches when my wife reminded me of the Scotts Power Pruner (she's a smart woman). Well I got this pruner out and didn't even need the ladder. I was able to extend the pole and cut all the low hanging branches. The pruner made the job a breeze, cutting branches up to 3/4" easily. Up to this point, we've only used it to prune the blueberry/blackberry bushes, but next time I'll remember to use this pruner.Original: I got the Scotts Outdoor Power Tools PR17216PS 7.2-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Rechargeable Power Pruner with Pole to use to trim our raspberry and blackberry bushes each year. If you have ever done this task, you know how tedious and time consuming it is. One gets down on their knees and prunes out the worst of the berry canes and leaves a couple of main canes for the coming year. Then you are back up and tying the canes up. By the time you're done, your knees (from crawling around) and hands (from gripping the pruner) ache. My wife talked me into this pruner and I'm so glad she did. We went through and pruned the 6 rows of berry bushes today. I used the pruner on the pole and she sorted out which ones to prune. In about 3 hours, we did what would have taken double that to complete. The task never was that easy. The pruner's battery lasted the entire session. I had my doubts about it as I bet we made 200 or so cuts with the pruner.I give the Scotts Outdoor Power Tools PR17216PS 7.2-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Rechargeable Power Pruner with pole βββββ. For the price of this tool, if it were to break, I would definitely be buying another. I strongly recommend it to anyone that does a lot of trimming; especially if you have arthritis or hand problems.I hope this proves helpful. Thanks for Reading - βπ

Fairly good value for light work. No replacement blade available
I wish it extender farther. It cuts very easily .It tends to be at an odd angle because of the pole mounting system. Work great and best for hand pruningTHE BIGGEST ISSUE.As soon as I received this item I went on SCOTTS website to purchase an extra blade.YOU CANNOT GET THEM. They have been OUT OF STOCK for several months. THIS IS concerning. If you break the blade, you are screwed. I saw a Question and Answer site for this tool. A user asked if the blade can be replaced. The REP said NO due to safety concerns. Whatever THAT means.WELL, if you go to the site Scotts is affiliated with :AMERICAN LAWNMOWER COMPANY they have a replacement blade . Part # PR RBK (enter the cutting tool number to get there) The problem is the part has been sold out since I tried to get one in APRIL. I emailed the company and got a response that they should have them in THIS month (July) Been checking every day. Not so far.You guys out there using this tool for cable cutters ( you know who you are) you better cool it because when that blade is gone., you are done.
