Very good grip and these give you the confidence to walk on our icy roads. Good size as many are far too big for my shoe size...a ladies 3.

Things that I liked about these ice grippers:* straightforward to attach to a shoe - even if they do require a bit of brute force* once attached to my shoe they felt secure* I haven't slipped once whilst wearing them and today I was out early in the morning with very thick ice on the pavements* you can keep them on whilst walking on different surfaces so easy to continue from a path to a field.* they are fairly comfortable to walk on. I am aware of them on the bottom of my feet but they haven't made walking difficult or uncomfortable.* they are easy to wash, dry and keep clean* they store flat in a drawer and don't take up much room.* I have only used these for a week but a friend who recommended these to me has had her pair for over a year - right through all that snow last Christmas. Her set are still going strong and not showing any signs of wear.Things that I didn't like about these ice grippers:* they were a struggle to put onto my size 6 boots but once fitted they were secure* over the course of a one hour walk they slipped a little bit at the heel end. They got me home fine but I would need to take them off and reapply them again before the next walk.* there are no heel spikes so you have to walk in an unnatural position of putting the front part of your foot down first* they collect large lumps of mud in the spike area which if left make them uncomfortable to wearOverall impression:I have been so thankful that I purchased these as it has meant I can walk on icy paths with my dog without the constant fear of falling over.

Did a 6 mile walk on mainly snow and ice, and all the spikes had disappeared by my return. They were a few years old but had never been worn. Worked well as long as they lasted.Perhaps the latest ones have been modified, but they look the same in the pictures.There must be a better option out there.

I'm not able to fit them on shoes. They appear small even if the size is the correct one indicated in product detail page.

This sprang off the boot and wash lost out in the snow. I would not purchase this item again ever.

Went to iceland last December and used this for 1 week. No faults or broken pieces. This is reliable & easy to use. Im size 3, and i ordered size 5. Its easy to put in & remove when im indoor. Im happy with purchase its very cheap. Preferred this than the other style i bought.
