CHEAPER than just the noodles
Very flavorful and larger than ones at store. Easy to make. I add more dried veggies, crushed peanuts, and sauce. Why don't I just make it from scratch? These bowls are CHEAPER than just the round Hokkien noodles. I greatly enjoy the final product and ease. Same price for smaller Teriyaki flavor. I buy a pack of 6 every month. I might start buying two. I think most negative reviewers added too much water. Just four tablespoons.

Really good!
Like that the noodles are not dehydrated and they taste pretty fresh. It is my go to when I want quality noodles.

Embarassing to put Korean-style for these sweet chili noodles, terrible and too much sugar
Very bad even for instant food. Better off with actual instant korean noodles from nongshim, they taste better, bigger portion, and little/no sugar compared to the 19g in one of these. I don't think you should eat this even if someone paid you.Edit 2/5 after realizing user-error: I didn't make these properly and with apologies to the company, will note that for prospective customers, read very carefully. Do not automatically fill up to the line like with most other products, if you are microwaving--which I would recommend to avoid the pain of draining the water awkwardly with the weak plastic lid--you only need 1/4 cup of water. Also, it's very important to put the flakes into the bowl first, so the water gets there instead of dropping them on top of the noodles where they'll stay hard, dehydrated flakes. After having made them properly, they are pretty good and very quick to make. Having said that, I still think 19g of sugar is way too much and not necessary to have this taste good but I won't take a star off as that's my own fault for not checking before purchase.

Taking too long
Great taste, but used to get these in 1-2 days. Now it's taking weeks. Why ? 5 star went to 3 because of this.

convenient, tasty, fresh, lasts long time in cupboard, good as is or add other goodies to it
Love keeping Annie Chun products in my pantry. Convenient, shelf stable food that makes for a quick lunch or dinner. Easy to prepare, good flavor. Not always my go-to for food of this type, but sometimes I dont want to make a lot or I dont want to be bothered with all the prep. I just want the taste and texture when I want it.I love that everything is separately packaged. This really helps to keep it fresh and very long lasting in the cupboard. Well beyond any "best by" date. Noodles are vac packed, seasoning and sauce in their own packets, then all tucked into a sturdy bowl.Sometimes I eat it as is, sometimes I add in other goodies (veg or protein, usually some sort of left over in fridge), sometimes a little extra seasoning (or even a little added peanut butter or peanut butter powder). Totally good prepared as is, but it also works when used as a base if you have things you want to bulk it up or change the flavor a little. Nice crunchy chili oil works very nicely for turning it into spicy peanut noodles!

ethical, unhealthy, and delicious.
Delicious and vegan. Slightly more complex to prepare but that, to me, adds to the charm. Worrying salt and sugar content.

Easy, onion-free... and no longer tasty
Below is the review I posted some time ago. I am now updating it because they have changed the product (again). It's still easy and it remains onion-free, but it's just not very *good*. The noodles are mushier, the sauce is thicker but has less depth... it's just blah and awful. I'm kinda heartbroken, to be honest, because these noodle bowls were a godsend to me. Now I won't eat them.---This product has made me ridiculously happy.I can't eat onions (or scallions) at all. It's not an allergy proper; the technical term is intolerance... but the end result is the same in that I can't eat them without becoming seriously ill. That's why I'm *delighted* that the "New! tastes even better" version of this product includes *no* onions. It is terribly difficult to find a convenience food for which this is the case, and it tastes wonderful to me.Some grocery stores (I'm looking at you, Fayetteville, Georgia Publix) still stock the old kind, so I've had to be very careful about checking the label, but the noodles Amazon just sent me are the new kind.I recommend this to people without onion intolerance, too. My husband says it has too many steps. "You might as well cook," he complains. I find this easy, though. Perhaps he finds it daunting because it contains four separate pouches. The oddly-named "topping" goes into the bowl first and then is covered with a quarter-cup of water. The noodles go atop that; they aren't quite touching the water, but they clearly get the benefit of being steamed. Microwave that for 90 seconds and let it sit a moment. Then add the sauce and stir, putting peanuts on top. It's honestly not that difficult, and the end result is excellent and consistent. At almost 600 calories a bowl, it's clearly a full meal, but it's filling. Highly recommended. Thank you, Annie Chun's, for making a tasty, onion-free meal bowl.
