Love these shoes!
I bought a pair of these from REI 6 years ago and after using them often during the summer, they are still in good condition. Needless to say they are very well made. I love how light they are. They remind me of bearfoot shoes a bit. No arch support but that doesn't bother me. I love their simplicity. With that said... These shoes are slip ons so the lasess are mostly for looks. You can sinch them but you can't loosen the ties to much affect. Sizing seems accurate.

Just awesome !!!
I can hardly believe this shoes are made for water sports. Likely one of most comfortable and stylish shoes I ever had. I love that the insoles can be removed so easily giving you the sensation that you are just stepping on a rug. But if you do feel your feet are very tired adding the insoles make the shoes literally a foot massage. The arch of the insole is so subtle that it just gives that soft support to the tired feet but not stealing the barefoot purpose. I highly recommend this shoes.Regarding size I ordered half a number bigger and it’s the perfect fit.

Great water shoe
They came quickly, as needed! I usually wear 8.5/9, bought 9 and they were great. Used them on a boat, great grip, easy enough to get on/off, took off laces as I didn’t need them. I snorkeled in them, so I could step down if needed, which I liked. Dried overnight, but not much faster than that. Very comfortable to walk around after the boat. Durable. Good purchase, maybe a bit overpriced.

This is my third pair of astrales.
This is my third pair of astrals. They are comfortable, light weight and wash well if dirty. However…. They are not very durable, so for price I don’t feel they are worth it. I have never worn the astrales for their intended use, never on a boat or in the water. I slip them on for a few hours at a time in the summer only, to grocery shop, go to an appointment, or attend a casual event then back in the closet they go. For gardening , hiking, fishing anything else I do I have different footwear. The first pair the soles looked like they were wearing out, the second pair the material on the toe box was not as durable so that material wore out right at the area where the big toe bends with every step. I’m hoping this third pair with very light use gets me thru the summer

So far so good
I have been trying to experience less pain. I have had chronic issues for decades. I'll spare the reader the details, but I'll just say that they see regarding my muscular-skeletal condition. It led me to reading about minimalist shoes, learning more about feet, etc.The argument for allowing toes to spread, strengthening the many muscles throughout our feet, and other justifications for more having arch support and such was compelling enough for me to give these a try.It was a tough call. There are many brands and models. I also purchased the hemp loyaks, but I felt pain just putting my feet into them. 😔 I had to return them. But so far, in this week of wearing these (grey) loyaks, my feet seem to be in a pretty good state (for me). Mine out, I've been experiencing extremely tight and sore muscles in my hips, back, and neck. HOWEVER, I am not claiming that they are the shoes, because I already know what's going on in my body. And it's sad. Therefore, as far as how my day feel, I'm enjoying these. How it's affecting my issues with arthritis, ridiculously, extremely tight muscles, muscle spasms, scoliosis, sciatica, one leg effectively (not actually) shorter than the other, ad naudeum, I my know. But I'm going to try to let these cool shoes inspire and motivate me to step up increase my efforts to improve my condition. So there all that.I like that I can feel what I'm walking on. It makes sense that it would allow is to react in a more natural way. More agile. More in-touch.My Nike Flex shoes are lightweight, but dangerous on wet cement (not wet cement. I mean, when cement *gets* wet.).These are nice and grippy. I don't worry whether I'll slip in these.Unexpectedly, they came with dusty rose shoelaces in addition to the grey laces.

Good water shoe
I dislike my ugly black aqua socks and I was jealous of my husband’s pair of Astrals so I had to get my own. I bought them for walking on rocky beaches and swimming, for which they work perfect. They are very snug getting on. The mouth of the shoe is designed to be tight around the top of your foot. I didn’t realize this when I bought them, but it’s a nice feature. I can wear them with short socks or barefoot. No problems with blisters. The toe box is wide which is kind of nice for swimming. Acts as a bit of a flipper. Overall happy with my purchase.

Excellent Water Shoe; Half Sizes Order Up
Overall: Nicest looking water shoe I’ve ever owned. Great for adventuring around a beach town and slipping in and out of the water.Fit: I ordered a size 7, though I usually wear 6.5 wide. Pleasantly surprised that my pinky toes were not pinched, and there wasn’t a lot of extra space above my short-ish toes (maybe a half inch). Like some other reviewers mentioned, they are a bit tight across the top of the foot, but I didn’t feel like it was a major irritation or a circulation hazard for me.Pretty grippy: Felt safe enough on slick wet tile (still was mindful, and your mileage may vary), but I still had to be extra cautious going up and down wet stone stairs. Protected me against coral and rocks in the ocean that might have cut my feet.

Caused Blisters and Abrasions
I really wanted to love these cute shoes. I walk on the beach every day and wear through water shoes quickly. I read great reviews about these shoes and gave these a try. I sent the first pair I ordered back as they fit too small and sized up. The larger pair initially fit fine and didn’t show any problems of not fitting properly. On my third walk, the shoes were painful on both feet and caused blisters and abrasions. Too bad I have worn them and can’t get my money back.
