Powerslave 2015

This was one of the records I missed for some reason when I first fell in love with the maiden......whilst I now see it is a good album (better than most the recent stuff for sure and containing a couple of classic)...I'm not too disappointed I did not hear it in my youth - THAT award goes to Piece of Mind which is mind blowingly brilliant. Have to also mention that Im only now filling in my mental Maiden listening gaps becasue Book of SOuls is so great.......just encase you were wondering........Powerslave does have good moments and I will listen again and again like all the other top albums - but yes (you can tell by my build up here.....) It just does not grab me as all the other classics do. To be honest this record feels flat in places and I feel Im not paying as much attention as I usually do to every Maiden track - so as a fan of 30 years or so (and yes I should say sorry again for not listening to to all the classics in my youth!) I have to be honest here and say whilst it deserves 5 stars for the qualities it does have (good story telling lyrics, 3 or 4 great tracks) there are one two too many mediochre (BUT NOT BAD!!) tracks compared to the afor - mentioned greats-Please see my review for Piece of Mind if you'd like to find out the order of THE BEST MAIDEN ALBUMS EVER!!! What got me in to Iron Maiden originally was hearing Hallowed Be Thy Name as a single in 1993 as they were currently promoting A Real Dead One, and boy did that one track blow my mind! From there I would save up my dinner money and go in to town on a Friday and buy their albums on tapes as I had yet to upgrade to a cd player (and vinyl was something my parents bought)! Anyhoo, to the album in question, which is "Powerslave"...If I were to give a ranking of all Iron Maiden albums in order of greatness, then this would be ranked in the top three albums (possibly one or two)! And the reason for this position of the album is the quality of the songs on offer. You start off at Aces High and end with RIme of the Ancient Mariner, and in between you have no filler tracks whatsoever. Not even Losfer Word can be classed as a filler track as it's the band minus Bruce showcasing their skills on their relevant instruments! I could go on and on about this album and how great every single track is, but I'd rather you check the album out for yourselves and let the music do the talking and blow your minds! The only negative thing I can say is that I never wrote this album :(

Bought this because I am a massive maiden fan, love power slave, rime of the ancient mariner, duellists, flash of the blade, aces high, whether your a die hard fan like me or a newbie, you will love this, excellent value for money, will be using this seller again, up the irons 🤘🤘🤘🤘

What is there to say about maiden one of the best (in my opinion the best) metal band there is powerslave being one of their classic albums.I'd recommend these 2015 remaster's to anyone.

This is the Re-issue version of "Powerslave" with extra enhanced video content and it is amazing! There are loads of extras packed into this version which include more art work, band pics and liner notes than the original. If like me you bought the original release on vinyl then this is the perfect way to up date your collection to the CD format. "Powerslave" is a classic Iron Maiden album and deserves to be heard by everyone who loves Heavy Metal music. So buy this album and you will have a piece of Heavy Metal history that will bring you joy for years to come.

This was bought as a Birthday gift, I'm not familiar with their music but I'm assured it's a good album. Arrived speedily and was packaged well.

For me probably there best, piece of mind. A close 2nd. Worth the price for rime of the ancient mariner if you havnt heard this then your in for a treat Im jealous wish I could hear this for the first time again !!

Possibly the best album of the best metal band of all time. Each track is an anthem that demands to be listened to in its entirety, even the 14 minute epic "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" keeps me listening right till the end. A quality album from a quality band, cannot see how it could disappoint any listener from a veteran metal head to the newest of fans
