Nice easy shaver
I hate 5 blade shaves. Feels like I'm using a carpet. And safety razors aren't to safe for me. This does the job without giving me rash.

Blades blunt

Durability
I have had my Gillette Contour Razor for 35+ years and, with the exception of one cheap purchase, I have always used the genuine Gillette blades. When I first bought the razor the blades did not have a lubastrip and when they appeared I was straight in there and have never looked back. To read some of the reviews that state blades didn’t fit properly or the strip fell off I would reply saying the ‘Complainers’ were not using Gillette blades. Please note my first few words because my razor is the original one from all those years ago. I would like to stress that this review is the genuine article.

Safety Razor - not "super"
All metal razor - good quality item.The blades that came with it are poor - could not attach the first blade to the razor. Second blade did fit but on first shave the lubricating strip came away from the blade. The blades are very important, it is what shaves you regardless of the handle, so it is sad that they in no way match the razor.Luck has it that some Gillette blades do fit the razor!!

Erwartung voll erfüllt
Die Motivation diesen Rasierer zu kaufen war, meine Gillette Contour Plus-Klingen nutzen zu können. Der alte original Gillette-Rasierer aus Metall hält leider die Klingen nicht mehr. Vermutlich ist die Feder lahm. Die modernen Riesenapparate brauche nicht, um meinen Bart ausrasieren zu können. Dafür sind sie zu unhandlich. Die Klingen passen perfekt in den neuen, der Rasierer liegt gut in der Hand, obwohl einem der Griff zunächst etwas lang vorkommt. Auch an das Gewicht muß man sich zunächst gewöhnen. Dafür hält man ein schönes und gut verarbeitetes Gerät in der Hand, mit dem man auch ein gutes Rasierergebnis erzielt.
